I heard the United Nations is asking for volunteer countries to send peace keepers into the US. Apparently to try and restore democracy.

I thought BLM was a racially focussed group not a political one. Could it be that they have aligned themselves to the left because that was where their voices could be heard? I saw no black faces in the Trump riot on Wednesday which seems to suggest a white supremacy lean.

a few windows broken ,nothing burned down ...... no peace keepers needed ..... sadly 1 lady shot buy a cop , and 4 others dead from various causes ( they have not said the actual cause of death for any except the woman ) . BLM is a communist organization , its on their website. not going to comment on the lack of black faces in the crowd , but that doesn't mean there is a white supremacy lean (I have been to trump rally with black people there and for what I seen all were treated well , at least here in Texas.)
you Brits have your own problems to tend to .
America is going through a time of trial , we may not survive as a nation you see today . we may come out the other side better than ever ,we will see. we will be free or we will not be.
if America goes dark ,turns it back on the constitution that has guided this nation , there will be no freedom left in the world . who can stand up to China or Russia or even North Korea . Great Britain ? North Korea is already mouthing off to the USA , not afraid of Biden and company , they like appeasers . that is what that bunch has always done .
say what you will but trump has not started any new conflicts ,lets see how long that will last with this bunch.

This incident might wake up the parasites that have sold out entire sections of society whether they be based on skin color, education opportunities, industry. The assholes in government have not had a vision for the general population in decades, it's always what is good for a corporation that will sell out the country or for some spoiled rich brat that can't live without more unearned money to boost a failed ego.
This country needed Trump to humiliate the jackasses in congress and the senate and as an example of how off the rails we can become when half the population can't find a reason to vote. The positives are more women in congress after hearing insults without end, which would not have happened with Clinton. There was no surge of minorities when Obama won, and Clinto was to be just more of the same. It takes a real mess to wake people up such as Viet Nam, Watergate, Trump. And the number of voters in this election has not been seen since the early '60's, another Trump result. Allies are finally looking at standing more on their own. One would think that listening to us crow about standing with Hungary in '56 and Czechoslovakia in '68 and then doing NOTHING they would have learned then but it took Resident Chump to wake them up. I could go on but the fact is this country is so conservative, so lazy, so uneducated and so uninvolved in anything but a fucking smartphone app that we deserve whatever chaos we get. And there is no difference between the so called parties, each throws a few crumbs to their voters ( SUCKERS) to keep them in line, and follow roughly the same policies.

I think you summed it up quite nicely there. Its no different here in reality. Problem with politics now is there ia too much money involved in it. It ought to be about the people.

You are correct, as long as we have Bozo and his Band of Super Rich Clowns in power saying that “we are now an independent sovereign state” then we may as well resign ourselves to a totally different Way of life than the one we have enjoyed for the past 40 years or so.

Yes there is a trend on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube that you can say anything you want just short of assassinating our current Commander And Chief. But god help you if you make any kind of hint of negative reference to socialism or any other political party. Your comments are removed and you get locked out of your account.
Unfortunately while Jens Stolenburg has the title, I would not pay attention to his biased comments. Remember he is a supporter of the Marxist Leninist ideology in which the current president despises.
Depending on what happens at 1200 hrs on 20 January, there is a very real possibility of our country may experience way worse than what happened the other day in DC.

Depends on who is our president at 1200 hrs 20 January. The existing walls may be torn down, borders opened up, no flight restrictions, foreigners coming over in droves for free healthcare, and more jobs being moved to China.
Even with the walls there is a workaround to border crossings:

I think you should stop right there. Jens Stoltenburg is certainly not subscribed to “Marxist Leninist ideology”. He was Prime Minister of Norway and he is a member of the Labour Party and he is Secretary General of NATO, and his comments were certainly not biased. He stated publicly what many people around the World were thinking and talking about and that was how a serving President of the USA could publicly call on the public and incite a riot. It was a sad and shameful thing to do by a man who is so desperate to cling onto power. Thank goodness his time as President is coming to an end decided in a legal, honest and fair way by the majority of good and decent citizens of the USA.

Seems like a lot of replies from Trump supporters on here but not much from the left? Is this forum generally right wing as far as the US is concerned? What are the freedoms that you are concerned about losing now that Trump is going? We had a similar concern in the UK which led to Brexit which it turns out lost us many more freedoms than we have now. Freedom to work live and love anywhere in 27 nations of Europe is just one of them

I agree we will lose much more than we will gain. However Europe is in an absolute mess. There is next to no exterior border controls. Alot of the newer entrants are holding it to ransom regarding migration issues, or just letting everyone through to come here. It can only get worse what with global warming etc. I have no problem with people legally comming here to work and contribute to our economy. Its been going on for ever and likewise for us going the other way. However thats not what happened. I work with many people from all over Europe my ex GF was from Slovakia so im ok with these people. However when you see people comming over here just to beg on the streets it just not right. We didnt sign up so as we can take care of the people whose own countries will not. We have enough problems with our people who are economically inactive for whatever circumstances. We need decent jobs with decent contracts so people can live decent lives here. If we can achieve that then we can think about these other people. Germany is the big problem for Europe as its so strong it has everything sown up. The smaller countries will always be playing catch up and will never get on par.
