I have an iPhone handlebar holder and am hesitant to use it due to vibration(s). Have anyone of you used one of these devices and have you noticed any issues with your phones? The reason for this question is that I noticed with my iPod it would freeze, on occasion, from vibration.
Thanks for your insight(s). I hate to ruin my $700+ phone.

I have a somewhat cheap one from Amazon (12.95) and it works great. I see no issues at all with vibrations.

I've mounted my Samsung S5 and then S7 with the Ram X-mount on 2 Teneres, KTM 690r thumper, and a couple of rentals with no issue.

Was it an older iPod with the drive? The iPhone is all solid state so has higher vibration resistance...

I used ram mounts on the handlebar to hold my phone, its as solid as the bars itself.. Be sure not to make the mount too high or long so the vibrations carry, keep the phone as close as possible to the bars... there will be no vibration at all.

I've used the RAM Mount X-Grip mount for a couple of years, on a couple of bikes, with zero issues. They're great. Also, my phone has a rubberized case, which does probably help. I've seen videos where MX riders were doing flips and the phones weren't falling out of the X-Grip.

Thanks for your comment(s). I did have an older iPod and that might have been the issue. Again...thanks for taking the time to respond to my question.

I'm not sure how old your ipod is/was but the earlier versions had a phyical hard disk that (like any other computer equipment) is sensitive to vibrations. A newer phone or ipod using flash memory will not have the same issue

Just FYI, you can replace your hard disk with a solid state drive:

I had the same problem with my iPod in the saddlebags on my cruiser.

I use a techmount techgripper handlebar mount and have had it in the center of the bar and up near the clutch lever with no issues with an android phone.
