Mostly UK spec bikes were affected by this faulty "left" button. As a result, diagnostics and CO settings could not be done.
Here is a success story how the Left Trip Button was diagnosed and restored.
Credits:
1. "Harimau Buas" aka "Boy" from Malaysia for the Video of his bike dash PCB being fixed. Bike is UK Spec "Silver".
2. Technician whose nick is "Siput Sedut" did the diagnostics and fix.
Summary:
Ohmmeter checks for continuity in the area of the microswitch. Switch is good, what is not good is the PCB solder junctions on the button.
Fixes: What appears to be a resoldering of the joints of the buttons. View the videos (linky) below.
