Would you entertain a free round trip to the Mid- Atlantic to service my bike and several other east coast riders? We could discuss a location with tools and space to work? Hotel and food could also be arranged ?
Just an idea for those of us not close to TX!

Go to Hard 8 BBQ when in DFW area, and I live close to Memphis, the BEST BBQ in the world so if I say it is good BBQ then it just might be.
It good, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it owned by the H-D dealership right next to it. But as we know B-B-Q is subjective. I like Roscoe's even better than Hard-8 that's also in Burleson.

being born and raised in Lockhart Texas , the BBQ capital of the world ... I laugh when I hear others proclaim how good their BBQ is .... I've never met tabasco in person , had one brief conversation on the phone . bought some stuff from him (long brake and clutch lines ) . but his reputation is beyond reproach , and if I needed a service on the Tenere (and I might soon ) no hesitation about using tabasco's skills . yep I'm a BBQ snob .... prove me wrong..... MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL .

Best BBQ is the one on my plate in front of me. Lots of different styles out there, some better than others but all are good to me. Carolina, Memphis, St. Louis, Texas, etc. I even have a favorite BBQ joint in Asia.

Only BBQ I stay away from are the places that routinely have hour long lines to place your order. That is just terrible business management to me and I will not patronize. Sorry MH

Carolina doesn't sound like typical BBQ, but it's fantastic stuff. Impossible to keep your mouth from watering just thinking about it.

Hello Team !

I think I once had a post on this topic but for the life of me cant find it at all, I even used the search LOL !

If you need any type of service on your bike your welcome to PM me. This is probably more so for some of the new folks that have no idea its available. I know this bike front to back and have hours worth of info, hints, tricks, and general info to share. Ive had folks visit from all over the country and several are return customers. Just wanted to share again that if you need someone you can trust, I will be happy to talk with you. Ive probably worked on more Super Tenere motorcycles than probably anyone in the world over the last 11+ years.
Anyhow, even if you would like a second opinion, I would be happy to share mine with you on anything to do with this bike. Feel free to PM me or make a comment.

Don't forget that this bike can take care of you for over 250K miles, but it will need service. It's NOT just oil and fuel. I can tell you stories about how you have a 'service' choice....... spend $20 when the part is NOT broken........ or spend $2000 - $3500 + after the $20 part breaks..... We could save you $1980 .... LOL Ive seen this many times.

Also, just a friendly reminder as Ive mentioned so many times. If we do something like a valve check you will receive all your pre / post numbers. You will probably receive more info than you ever wanted. This is very useful for your peace of mind for the next time the work is done, or for the next person that wants to buy your bike. If you need to take your bike to another mechanic please make sure to 'request' (demand) this info. If they dont provide, or dont want to provide this info, I would find a place that there attitude would be "no problem doing that for you". Its important to have this info. You can PM me for more specific reasons why.

Inherently I always look over peoples bikes and find bolts missing, parts gone, pads worn to the metal, Etc, its good to have someone give the bike a good once over. I have many - many stories about these situations. And if you have time, I'm sure I will tell you 1-5 of these stories..... LOL Ya know the one- guy rolls up complaining about the shifting, the bike is missing the shifter bolt. The shifter is about to fall off the bike, he wonders why it wont shift ? Another - the guy had a broken clutch bolt, the bottom of the bolt fell out the bottom, the top unscrewed 99% out, and then topped out on the hand guard. The clutch lever was held on by 1 % of the broken clutch bolt, he wondered why the clutch was dragging all the time ? He was literally 1% away from the clutch lever falling off on the high way and he having no way to disengage the clutch.................... Not a good thought.

If you need some service and a comprehensive look over let me know !

Thanks to this community, I certainly have enjoyed all these years.
I am brand new to the Super Tenere, if you had to gather up a sort of “check list” to be checked at every oil change or certain mileage interval. What would it be? I just picked my 2021 1200 ES with 5600 miles on it. The oil is fresh from the dealer and everything appears to be in good shape, however I know nothing of shaft driven bikes or what maintenance this monster requires. According to everyone I have heard talk about it this bike is extremely easy to maintain, however I do not want to mess anything up and front a bill. I do consider myself someone who takes very good care of their vehicles and I would like this bike to be no different!

Typically at oil changes there is not much really... Look it over...... The larger service intervals are 25-50- so on.... This bike is virtually bullet proof and just ride the heck out of it ! ! ! ENJOY !
