I notice that his locking mount has some support brackets fitted (3.20 minutes) are these a Touratech item I wonder

But for a lot less money you can use the Garmin cradle in other types of mount. Most put it on a simple RAM ball or otherwise attach to the cross bar for the windscreen. There are a lot of photos in other threads about this.

Look more like a lanyard to me, looped around the back of the bracket &, maybe, tied off somehow out of our field of vision. Or it could be a complete red herring!

How are you getting on with the Touratech GPS bracket Rog - 01-065-0525-0. Presumably the indicator tell-tales show, but does it still vibrate as much on rough roads?

Hi Ken, I fitted the Touratech adapter which has enabled me to retain the locking mount and also lift it up so that the indicator warning lights are now perfectly visible, so that's a success ::008:: and because the Sat Nav is now sitting a bit higher I have also noticed that the range of adjustment is improved in that my Zumo 660 doesn't seem to suffer the previous reflection on the screen, its therefore easier to view. ::008::

The new bracket doesn't cause the Device to vibrate any more than before, in fact it's probably slightly better, but it still vibrates and at times is difficult to view. ::007::

So I have ordered some flat aluminium bar and I'll fabricate a couple of stays to support the whole thing ~ as seen elsewhere on here....I can't locate the post/link at the moment

Hope you're well, all the best

Rog
