Is confirm by the dealer if you install side wind deflector you cannot put the shield in fully down position!!!. Now It is possible to trim this..

You are using the side wind deflectors for a Gen I bike. Note the 23P part number on them. You need to either trim them, or get the correct Gen II side wind deflectors, which will have a 2BS part number. LINK 2BS-F83M0-V0-00 Note that the part number for the product is correct, but they are using a picture of the Gen I style side wind deflectors, you can zoom in and see the 23P part number.

Yes as everyone else has indicated you have generation 1 deflectors on a generation 2 Tenere. That’s also what I have, I cut about 1.5 inches off the front and no more problem. In the process I had to cut them off a couple times to get the fit I wanted, the first time I used a hacksaw that worked ok but rather difficult, next cut I tried a cheap air operated cut off tool designed for cutting steel I already had from Harbor Freight and that worked much better, mine is very similar to this one but I either Removed the safety guard or maybe it never had one. https://www.harborfreight.com/3-in-high-speed-air-cut-off-tool-60243.html
