Chainsaw Tom from North Van.
Trying to troubleshoot my 2015 es, I've sold it but it came back to me with a problem...code 42...no speedo...TC light, abs light, and check engine light, es doesn't adj. Starts and runs great though. After clearing codes and fiddling all working normal until I ride a short distance, more codes blah blah blah. I think an abs sensor but not sure which one or exactly how to check it. I hate to just start buying parts.

Welcome aboard Tom.

Sorry to hear about your problem. I suggest using the search box. Most problems have been addressed in the 12 years this forum exists. Might there not be an sufficient answer you can start your own thread in the tech discussion area, go to electrical and create your own thread.

From the Netherlands,
Stefan

Welcome along - what's with that chainsaw moniker?

I'm thinking rear ABS sensor, but IIRC there have been occasions when code 42 has also been associated with faults with the clutch switch & neutral light switch/wiring.

Thanks. Ihave been associated with chainsaws in one way or another(including owning a dealership) for 50 years, so I've earned it. I've been struggling to find a solution for my problem. I'm leaning towards the rear abs sensor, and possible the signal rotor. These are fairly expensive parts and my dealer doesn't have them. 1 month wait for delivery. I'm getting no output voltage from the sensor, which is why I think it's the culprit.
I cant find any details on testing it so just winging it.

The front sensor wire can be left out of it's loom and be cut through rubbing on the tire, it will short.
