I have showed Tenere guys many times how to do this and the next time I see them their seat isn't on right and flopping all around.
Make sure you push down on the back of the seat to get that tongue into the bottom slot. The seat should be on tight and not move around when done correctly.

I had it that way for a long while by accident. Then it was on wrong and flipping around, I went back to the rubber bumpers because I could not get it in correct. After seeing your video I now understand what is going on. And have returned to flat seat. Thank you Eemsreno. You could have single handily killed an entire seat leveling industry and thread. :)

I'm glad it is helping some of you guys out.
But I really can not take the credit for figuring this out.
A long time ago on this forum a guy from Canada [I think] told us how to do this.
I have searched for it and have not found it so I don't know who to give the credit to.
I probably have 175,000 miles of seat time on this mod and find it very comfy.

Awesome I tried the bigger bumpers in the front, smaller bumpers in the rear and it was just OK. Did yours today in the garage and it is dead level. Thank You.

I just did it. The seat is much flatter and only seems a tad higher. I will try it out tonight.
Thanks for the video. It is a much simpler solution than buying parts and having to drill a hole.

A few rough measurements:

In relation to the OEM low seat position, it is about 1/2 inch higher in the center of the seat, but does make it near level.

I don’t know if I am doing something wrong, I own a 2016 ES and I removed the 2 rubber bungs as instructed, put the seat latch in the lower position and locked the seat down, it looked to be flatter but I had about a 1/4 inch gap between the tank and the seat, I gave the seat a nudge forward and the seat moves forward to meet the tank and the tab at the back of the seat pops out of the low slot into the high slot, but now the 2 bungs are missing the seat rocks back and forward. Tried it about 5 times but always the same result!! Any ideas?

I was laughing at myself and the video because it took me a lot longer than a few seconds to get the seat to line up and latch properly. Once I did it, it was solid, no movement. As for help, sorry, just letting you know it took me a few times before I got it right.

Gary it sounds like your seat under support is in the low position.
