I have been using my action camera, directly attached to the Super Tenere, with two different RAM Mounts...

There are several reasons for wanting to attach it on the helmet, mostly riders perspective.
This particular unit, and its possible replacement, did/do not come with anything more secure than
two sided sticky tape... [weight, vibration, yada, yada, yada]

And since I have had to turn around once previously to retrieve an action camera from its journey bouncing down the road,
I would like to avoid a repeat experience...

Second issue is the modular helmet [as pictured below] totally negates top mounting...

Any suggestions??? Pictures and links would be most helpful.....

I got nothing for you. :/

When I had a full face, I had the sticky pad of the go pro on the chin area and even after several falls, it never got loose. I used to mount on the top or side of the helmet but at higher speeds, you can really feel wind running hard against it. I was always paranoid of the camera falling off eventually for being a garbage sail. When needed on my current Scorpion 900x, I'll attach to the chin but I rarely do that now.

Now, I use the Innovv K1 front/rear camera which is hard wired into the bike. Here's an example of what it captured on my rear camera:

Here is my mounting location. It has worked well for 1000s of miles on and off road.

I have a Shoei Neotech and used a double stick tape mount that came with my Go-Pro.
Mounted it on top right beyond where the flip up stops.
Works great.

I used the standard Go Pro mounts that come with the camera or can be purchased separately. I choose the slightly curved mount.
I laid one on the clear visor for a better view but of course it is not attached .
The one the camera is snaped into is mounted right at the stopping point of the flip up.
Hope this helps

is this the supplied sticky tape clip, 78YZ, and which camera are you using??? thx.....
My camera is the Contour HD. That is the standard swivel mount that comes with the camera. It is mounted with peel and stick adhesive.

I run a Contour on my helmet with a sticky mount. I do however use a piece of fishing line and two swivels to keep the camera with me. I tie on end to my helmet strap and attach the other end to the camera. If it falls off, it onlly goes about eight inches. ::021::

I have a Shark Evoline Full-Face / 3/4 Helmet that made things particularly difficult. I put the original GoPro mount on the chin bar and it works perfectly. And the 3M tape that comes with the GoPro mounts is bomb-proof

this is the best mount setup I've used yet. very happy with it after moving from a contour2+ to a gropro 7 puts you in the drivers seat and you can barely see its there.
I stayed away from the gopro because of the bulky mount and Camera, but with the new gopro 7 the video is just too smooth to ignore anymore,20190427_174853.jpg so i had to find a way to fix it to my helmet

That camera puts out some really good quality footage!! The idiot in the carpool lane shows just how people drive.

I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide.
Pro tip on mounting.
If the curve or flat mount does not have a lot of surface area onto the helmet, double up the sticky pads. It will make it grip much much better. The first pad will 100% coverage to the helmet and then the second pad will get you a good 70-80% to the mount.
