That is very cool! Would love to see the quick detach mechanism you came up with. I'm looking for something similar, but can't find anything that I like.

Hi Jimmy, and thank you. Here is a link to the thread I posted about the top case quick release system. There are other photos of it in my photo albums. I've made some changes to it since I posted the thread (primarily I rebuilt the attachment plate for the bottom of the case), but I'm still using the bicycle seat post quick release as the topcase quick release. The system has worked flawlessly since I assembled it.
