I'm shopping for a Super Ten and wondering what's considered "high mileage" on these bikes. My current ride (FJR) has 100,000 issue free miles....

I think you just answered your own question. Same quality. The only bike that I ever had high mileage issues with was BMW; two broken drive shafts before 60k miles. That being said, if you're wanting suggestions, 2014 or newer, and I would go for an ES. Good luck.

My brand experience is limited to the bikes in my sig. The Yamaha's overall have been the most reliable by a very large margin.

There are a few S10 riders with similar mileage as you.

Just picked up a 2012 with 6500 miles. Any serious issues I need to rectify immediately?

Yes. Ride that bike. :D I put more mile than that on mine in the first year, and I didn't go anywhere. But seriously, fluid(s) change, and check the tires for dry rot if they're original.

I changed the tires and lubed everything up. It seems fabulous so far.

Figure that you're shopping for a used FJR and use that as your barometer. If it were me, I'd find the newest model you want to afford with under 20K miles...under 10K would be even better. Lots of good buys out there...be patient and the right bike will show up before you know it.

Happy hunting!

I would rather have 10k per year on a bike, showing the previous owner was serious, with riding and maintenance
rather than a garage queen that sat in the corner collecting dust and mouse droppings in the airbox...
the five year old bike with less than 1k is something to be avoided, both on the street and when for sale.
higher mileage just means that you'll probably like it as much as they did.....
