Anyone have a high fender and strut guards on their Yam? And what did you use? I can't find any kits... Thanks!

I just had custom brake lines made at a local hydraulic hose shop and used some Home Depot bits to make a high fender mount. The two piece dirt bike fenders work well for this. An expansion bolt will fit into the hole in the bottom of the triple tree and a flat metal piece will allow you to bend and fit up a bracket for your high fender. I don't have a great pic of this, but here you go.

Awesome! I was thinking about going down that route.. just checking if there's any kits out there(I don't think so though).
Thank you for sharing.

Cheers!

No kits. Ride On ADV sells longer brake lines, but not the lower two line kit you would need. I sold a few, but issues with customers had me stop. You need some strain relief when mounting them. Use some cheap tubing to plan your hose route and figure out the length you need. Plan on zip tying them to something to keep them secure. Let me know if you want a short banjo bolt and right side brake line bracket and I'll send you them for free. I have some left over. PM me with your address.

Er, no. I do a lot more touring than off pavement riding. The 19" front wheel works fine for my needs. I just needed a little more mud clearance for the Alaska trip in '14. Then broke off the fender mounts during a full compression event... twice. So the remains ended up as a high fender, since I'd already eliminated the cross over brake line.

Won't the 21" wheel mess with the ABS and TCS?
No, the ECU compensates for it w/o issues. Several people have changed to a 21" wheel using an adapter to run the oem tone wheel so ABS and TCS continue to function fine. Woodys Wheel Works offers this with a couple of options and several spoke choices. Stock hub or aftermarket hub, IIRC.

Thanks for that... I will eventually look Into that option. Cheers!

There was a lot of excitement about 21" wheels some years ago. There is a difference in spoke nipples with the Woodies Wheels and at least a couple of people came back to the 19" front.

Thanks! I will read up on it but for now it's not my priority.

Sir can you tell me what fender you’re using here in this pic? Thanks
I am ass-uming that it a picture he found of what he wants. Since he's asking how to do what's in the picture. If that was his, he be telling us how to do it. I could be wrong. It looks good regardless of who's it is. :)
