Well, I lucked out.... Super Teneres are scarce as hens teeth right now, but I happened to call the local dealer today and they just got one in. So, now it's mine! I have not ridden two wheels in over 20 years. My wife passed away this year and I've been racking my brains to find something to do, and I did... back to riding.

The last two bikes I had, a Moto Guzzi and a Yamaha Venture both had shaft drive and the thought of choosing a chain drive bike just didn't do it for me, and then I found the Super Tenere. Not only does it have a shaft drive but I won't have to wet my pants if I see a gravel road.

I hope the border to the US opens up again.... but even if it doesn't, there's plenty of Canada to ride in.

Thanks guys, I'm just glad that motorcycling came to mind..... Now I have something to look forward to.

@SkunkWorks Why did you have to show that picture of a color other than black? I ended up being stuck with Tech Black. In fact, I've only had black bikes since 1978..... Not by choice, just cuz it was only color available when I was looking.....<sigh>

@Nikolajsen I lived south of Oslo from 1965 to 1978. I only made it to Danmark once in that time, it was an amazing visit!

So thanks again everyone.... Starting over, I realize that while I was very concerned with the cost of gear in the past... for some reason I feel it's better to have my wallet skinned instead of my behind this time around.

When I was searching for a Super Tenere, I had to look pretty far to find a Blue one.................There just wasn't any for sale anywhere near me.
I ended up having to road-trip to South Texas to get this one.

Definitely protect your "behind" when you are out there riding!
If you ever make it down to Colorado, I'll show you around.
