I have to say as a Colorado native there's only 2 ways to see Colorado one is in a four wheel drive and I've done this which is a comfortable way to take my wife along until the screaming gets too loud and the best way is to have a mid size off road bike and an adventure bike and a friend who rides like you , I've had a few dirt bikes including a Yamaha YZ490 I set up with a large tank and lights, not really the best ride but now I take a DR650 most places a large Adventure bike can't go , I've used up 2 BMW 1150GS and had pretty good luck with and now found a 2013 Super Tenere with 6500mi loaded with extras and I'm excited to see how this will work, I've heard lots of great things about it and I'm ready to go riding, I'm going to need help with technical support on how to service it so here I am feeling like I'm starting all over but I'm enjoying the bike with 100 miles on it so far . Thanks in advance for your help with this!

Welcome from Seattle-ish and congrats on the new (to you) '13! No lack of knowledge here, lots of great information for all things Super Tenere.

Welcome aboard Dave. Enjoy the new bike. I also own a DR650 and can appreciate your comment on a screaming girl friend/wife while 4 wheeling in the mountains. I used to be a member of the Mile High Jeep club and frequently attended the All 4 Fun event. I had several FJ40 Landcruisers with Chevy V-8s. Good times.

Hi Dave!

Took my 2018 Tenere through Colorado in 2018 and loved it. Did a number of passes as well as the Million Dollar highway. Great roads out there, both paved and dirt. Enjoy!

Hello from Minnesota!
Hi, I lived in Minnesota from 80 to 86 and worked for Minegasco, I agreed to live around Minneapolis for 5yrs because my wife has family in Chatfield and Rochester, I was surprised how many people have motorcycles since riding season is pretty short, anyway I'm back in my old stomping grounds where I grew up Colorado Springs, it's a fairly good spot for riding. Just had to say hi to someone from Minnesota!

Hello Dave- I agree with you 100% on how to see CO! I was stationed at Fitz down in Aurora in early 80's and riding a gs1000 any where I could get to on a weekend!! The ST is a great ride- I ride a 2013 Raven and now in Grants Pass- ride safe!
