I am curious as well to know if a Gen2 headlight assembly will fit a Gen1 bike.I might go for it. Save 100.
I was in a collision and rebuilding the front end. The headlight assembly is toast and all the plastics holding it are bad.I am curious as well to know if a Gen2 headlight assembly will fit a Gen1 bike.
I know the “deflector” trim piece (fits above the headlight assembly) is different on a Gen1 to the one on a Gen2.
Be careful with Partzilla as I have heard some real Charlie Foxtrot
issues with orders.
I always use Motosport for OEM parts for my bikes and their prices and service have been top notch.
BTW, why do you need to replace your headlight assembly?
The negative stuff I have heard about Partzilla was always word of mouth from fellow riders as well as members from the various forums I belong to for the particular bikes (all Japanese brands) that I have owned and or currently own.I was in a collision and rebuilding the front end. I have used partzilla since 2013 for a whole bunch of orders and not have had one issue. Where has it been posted there are issues with partzilla. I'm about to place a $800 order with them for the front end plastics.
A quick search shows motorsport has worse third party reviews than partzilla on three different sites. - I throw out truspilot reviews cause that's basically a scam review site.
This is true.pretty sure the likes of motorsport and partzilla are second seat to dealers. It all comes from the same place. I know i'll have to wait...it wouldn't be any different from a dealer.
nah, i'm gonna save $100 and mcguyver this.I would Send it back and order the correct parts
You got this!!!nah, i'm gonna save $100 and mcguyver this.
Confirmed, it works. I pulled out the GenII harness. I used some string to pull the GenI harness through. Lights worked, everything gravy, saved $100 by ordering the newer part number. You got this!!!
