Welcome to the forum neighbor. I hope you continue to enjoy the S10 for many miles. The Ultra is a good bike too, but boy, what a change you made!

I rode a Road King for a decade, then switched to a V-Strom back in 2012 and then to the Super Tenere in 2014. I've never regretted the change. I don't have any complaints about my HD; it gave me absolutely reliable service for 10 years. However, in spite of the Road King's reputation as a touring bike, the S10 was a markedly better touring platform for me. Better ergonomics, more room for a passenger, and a more practical luggage system. Plus, it was able to handle dirt and gravel that would have been a real issue for the 800 pound plus weight of the RK.

I'm glad I owned the Harley, and 67,000 miles later, I'm just as glad I got the Yamaha.

I had a soft tail standard, heritage and a road king in the past. Great bikes but I am much happier with the tenere.

I made the switch too 1.5 yrs ago from a 2015 RG. Initially it was like "what have I done" and then transitioned to where I am at today, "boy I am glad I did that!". I had a few HD's but honestly the 2017 Super T is much better suited to me and I get a longer season out if it riding it on dusty unswept highways in early season to cold rainy fall weather we get here in norther BC Canada.

Welcome from Gold Coast Australia!
I still have my behemoth Yamaha Roadliner cruiser as well as the Super10. Still conflicted about if I will sell one or the other.
Ultimately would like to keep both :)

Hello from So Cal!

Own a built 16 Streetglide and built 17 Dyna Low Rider S. Love em and theyll be my forever HDs, they arent going anywhere and I dont see anything from the moco that has my interest and the M8 has pulled em away from what I wanted in my HDs. Theres a reason I have the latest years with the Twincam.

But, I hear ya. The Tenere is such a damn good bike! Its actually become my tourer of choice, even over my tourer! Welcome to the club!

My Ultra racked up 256000 miles. That Evo was dead nuts reliable. I grew disillusioned with
Welcome from Texas. There might be a little culture shock with your switch, but you won't be disappointed.
They Harley guys at work are keeping their distance..lol. But they don't ride much anyway and I hammer them about it!

I loved my Ultra Classic. It served me well for a long time. It was time for a change. The Yamaha is such a well balanced bike and appears to be easy to maintain.

Never ridden a Harley. Sometimes I wonder if I am missing something....
I've ridden two, a long time ago & for a short distance. They felt heavy as hell. I was very surprised, expecting all the weight to be low on the bike. I had very low confidence riding them. On the flip side, the 'Wing felt lighter than what I expected, and was much easier to ride. For me, the Tenere is the easiest bike to ride compared to all the rest.
