I tried searching here and ADVRider, cant find much infos... unless I missed something.

As I noted in my original review of my S10, I have a problem with the handguards not protecting much since they are coupled with the levers. Add to this that I ride with the levers angled down a little(dirtbike/standing up habit), it makes it worst.

Anyone ever saw or made handguard extensions for the S10? I'm wondering if there is not some handguard cover that could just bolt-on on top of the OEM cover that's bigger and would not look too much out of place.

Anyone tried fitting the KTM Enduro handguards on a S10? I had a set on my FJ09 and loved the protection, but i'm not sure they would clear the clutch master cylinder. Pic from my previous bike for reference.

Way back in the first few years of the bike here in the US, there were a few threads about extending the hand guards. Believe it or not, a very popular mod came from cutting up an office style trash can (the little one that sits under your desk, black plastic) and screwing or riveting those pieces to your existing hand guards. A lot of of our early members were former KLR owners...

Thank you for that!! I'm actually thinking if getting a set of those for this winters riding. This is the first bike ever I've had with heated grips. I've always used powdered latex gloves under my riding gloves for cold weather riding.

The Death Valley ride last year in February 2017 with no protection really sucked. So I started looking for solutions on my Beta. My old Ninja 650R windscreen and Giant Loop Bushwhackers really helped. I then came to realize I'm not a young man anymore. Riding a dirt bike 850+ miles over a few days was not fun anymore.

So now I have the Super Tenere and could not be happier. Riding is fun again.
