Looking to extend my riding season by getting my hands out of the wind. My friends swear by them for ice riding but im having difficulty finding ones to fit over the OEM hand guards.
Ive ordered a couple already but have had to send them back due to fitment issues.
Anyone have a set that they use and can point me in a direction?

I’ve been using these Grip Mitts on my Tenere for a couple years.

they fit pretty nice, two sets of simple velcro straps hold each mitt in place over the original factory hand guards. My main reason for buying them was to help keep my gloves dry when riding in the rain, so far they have done that pretty well but honestly for some reason I have been pretty lucky not to ride in much heavy rain since getting the Mitts. They do seem to help quite a bit in cold weather. It takes about 5 minutes to install or remove them.

Check in your local Yamaha dealer. Mine has them displayed/fitted on the ATVs. OE & AM. I know they fit on the FJR, and that has kind of a weird handlebar. Didn't try the fit on the Tenere.

I have used a set of these as well the last couple years. The work great for me.

Yours are a good choice as well. And cheaper.

Mitts are definitely warmer, but to just get the wind off you these work very well. They are made by Moose, take up no storage room to carry with you. They also don't block your view of any controls.

I had a set of those Giant Loop ones for my Beta. Never thought of trying them on my Super Tenere.

So far Hippo Hands look like they might possibly be the best available Mitts but the price is more Than I’m willing to spend.
The half price brand that I actually use seem like they might be in second place but so far they have been working very well for me And it’s hard to imagine them ever wearing out Or having problems. https://obradvgear.com/enduro-grip-mitt/

Sure would be nice to experience all the different brands of Mitts actually installed on a Tenere in order to form an opinion.

I just ordered the Giant Loop from Revzilla. Easy to store in panniers-quick on & off-I had some Revzilla points I had to use-That all added up to me getting these. I will report on my experience with these.

You should like them a lot. I used them on a 850+ mile ride to Death Valley a few years back. The only drawback was in the wind I got a little handlebar wobble. But that was on a small under 300lb dual sport bike.

Heck, it's nice to have a few choices out there. I'm thinking both yours and mine are pretty much the same. I had a little extra dough so I got the fancy ones. I saw them somewhere on a Super Tenere and liked the aluminum hardware.

Been using them for years. A bit of a challenge to install by yourself. A breeze if you get someone to hold them for you for 10 seconds while you route the strap.

I guess the big GL should have tipped me off that they were not Moose, but had them so long I've long since forgotten.

The “taking up no storage room” is what interested me. They may not be the best but they will keep me warmer than a bulkier pair that are at home in the garage.

I haven't used my heated gloves since I got my Tusk mitts $25. My major drawback with my hot gloves was not being able to use a touch screen and couldn't do hardly anything with them on. If I was to go on a long cold trip. I would probably bring them in case of a freezing rain though.
