Ive honestly worn fingerless gloves with gel padding on the palms and kevlar knuckles for as long as I can remember
When I wear Gauntlets I feel completely restricted and I cant feel anything.
I only wear Gaunlets in the winter, but now that I have heated grips I may not even do that!

So many people and so many different preferences. It is very interesting to me finding out what each person likes and dislikes and why. I tried gel palm gloves and hated them. I really felt disconnected from the bike and the controls. I use leather gloves year round but i wont wear heavy gloves at all till it gets down to about 20 degrees. I really dont like those but in the 20s i have to start using them.

There are several companies that make them, some better than others. If we had real winters, I'd get a pair. But between the heated grips, my everyday gloves, and hand guards I'm good down to about 40°. And with the exception of a week or two in January and February, that's about as cold as we get.

I’ve been wearing buffalo hide gloves that work as well as anything without abrasion resistance. I’ve got a mind to grab a tube of shoe goo and make me some proper motorcycle gloves. The price of a good pair of gloves is crazy.

I ended up with a pair of Alpinestars GP2 or something like that. I can wear XL in a leather work glove, 2XL in the same glove allows me to wear a liner underneath. The alpinestar is 3xl, and I wouldn't be able to wear a wool liner like the work gloves in 2xl. The alpinestars are not insulated and I didn't want insulation, hoping to be able to wear a liner, but with the hand guards and handlebar heater they were comfortable at 50f the other day. I did notice the right grip is a little hotter than the left, actually turned it down as it was getting a little too hot at slower speeds. The alpinestar was rated pretty good at mcgearhub or one of the websites.

My glove selection runs the spectrum from padded MTN bike gloves when I am 100% offroad on my KTM 690, but for mixed or pure road riding, I have switched over to only using CE-level 2 gloves. I was impressed by how comfortable and cool my Lindstrands Bergby did this summer. In the winter I primarily use OJ Spin gloves because their inner liner works really well at keeping my hands insulated. Added bonus is I didn't pay over $100 for either of these options.

here in central texas , the weather can be especially crazy . cold mornings and hot afternoons . dry and then raining ... gloves don't take up much space so I carry insulated rain gloves and some warm weather type and just maybe a real cold weather glove . it can be in the 30's in the mornings and 70's by afternoon . one glove just want work for me .

I had the Klim badlands glove for a trial fit in 2xl. It was marginal on size. I decided the insulation would be nice but no way to really clean the glove on the inside. I decided on something with a removable liner, preferably wool. Minus 33 makes a good one. And something with a good ce 1 or 2 rating. I went down once a long time ago as a passenger and too many slides into second base have shown me what I don’t want to experience with my hands anymore. It’s been the palms that have taken the skinning in my experiences.
