I did a seach before posting this and it did not return anything so forgive me if this has been posted before.

I saw these on the Givi Italiano website. Not available yet but some people may be interested. No idea if they will be available in NA market or not (nothing on the USA site). Little info but I assume they would use the current Givi racks for mounting. Anyway, just thought I would share.

Nice looking gear. Maybe we'll see these come to US sometime. These would be pretty handsome on a Tenere! ::003::

The S10 doesn't feature on the list of compatible bikes in the pdf from their website page. ::007::

If the hardcases can mount up to the PL367 or PLR367 racks, then the luggage itself is bike-agnostic. If we could see the mounting side, it'd be pretty easy to see if they'd work.

In order to fit the Monokey® Cam-Side (Trekker Outback) side-cases: use the tubular side-case holders PL_ _ _CAM / PLR_ _ _CAM (18 mm diameter).
Doesn't give the numbers for the racks, I wonder why?
They look quite good, but no doubt they'll cost plenty. I like my Givi Trekker 46l top case, it's well made and does a good job. They're just too late with these as I've just fitted a set of Holan side cases.

edited to add "Trekker"

Yeah I think they look sharp, too. they've definitely got that Trax-look to them. I'm happy with my 3 piece trekker set as well...

Hmmm... I have the standard (available in the USA) Givi Trekker saddle bags and really like them. (with the exception of the fact that in the rain the latch recess fills with water so that IF you open the bag the water goes into your bag getting anything you have wet) These "Outback" side cases look to be top opening. I like that!

I would love to get the feel of them. I'll contact the Charlotte, NC Givi office and ask if they are going to have them available here in the USA!

Thanks

According to this website >> http://www.bykebitz.co.uk/motorcycle-luggage/givi-motorcycle-luggage/givi-hard-luggage/givi-trekker-outback.html you will need new racks, i suspect it wouldn't be long before someone made a fitting kit to fit existing or other brands of racks. Dunno why the delay on these, no one seems to have a price yet, emailed Givi no response yet as of 8 days ago, i did manage to find an itialian website with a price >>> http://www.motostorm.it/en/details.asp?articolo=5144&ref=Google&currency=GBP&gclid=CLON98f8-rcCFdDJtAodFkwAfw ans here for the rack >>> http://www.motostorm.it/en/details.asp?articolo=109 According to their response from my query they have the panniers in stock and should have the rack in 3-4 days at current excahnge rates that comes in at under £600 for panniers and rack, bloody competative prices i would say, not sure if the locks are extra i might add, need to check on that, i also need to check if i get hammerd on import duty also.
Forgot to mention the rack is supposed to be symetrical, so possibly no need for odd sized panniers.

I'm a Givi dealer and they told me last week the new bags should be here by the end of Sep. I didn't ask, but I think they will have different mounts

Can you double-check that? Bit odd that Givi wouldn't make them fit the existing PL racks as that would prompt many owners (me included) to upgrade their bags.

Specialty site for the cases.

I just called Givi and as far as they know now, the Outback bags will use a different mount. That may or may not change before they get here. The latest arrival date is late fall or early winter.

That's a shame, having to buy the racks will put the imported price point about the same as the Holans, which will have a narrower profile. Will have to see what they go for locally.

All the way frm Sing-a-pore:

Using both 37L.

Wont say much abt the pros but here's a con:
- If u hv a top case, opening the pannier lids is a sure hit, especially the right side.

Yet to experience water leak test & (of cos hopefully not) drop test.

Cheers.

Looking good Kevs. ::008:: Do you have any more pics from other angles? What's the total width installed?
Hi twinrider,

Sure will do, for those who are interested too.

Rear ass peekture:

I measured from end to end is approximately 97cm:

Front view, left pannier is slightly protruding:

For those who maybe anal for an equal width, the 48L for the right should suffice for balancing up the width.
Im nt that particular thou, in my native singlish saying: "Can use, can already." ::021::

Right pannier problem(I hv a Givi E52 on Givi bike specific rear top case rack(SR371):

In order to counter this, as the lid can also be detached from the other side, I'll just unlatch it when opening, pick up the lid and latch it back open.
Closing is just a reversal of procedure:

Left pannier not much of a problem thou:

Hope all these helps.

Cheers!

Kev

Hi,

I just wonder if there is any update info for this Givi's new Trekker Outback side cases.
available in the US anytime soon?

How about waterproof test, Kevs?

I consider to buy either this Givi or Trax. I have Givi's topcase, so Givi is good match,
but Trax come with inner bag, so both attractive.

Givi Italia website shows the picture of Super Tenere with this new side cases,
then I hope this will be available also in the US at competitive price.
