And also the reason that the answer to the age old question of, "How many bikes is enough?", is and always shall be......."One more!"YamaPA said:::025:: Thus the reason one should own mulltiple bikes!
Love the bars but sure would have liked to know this before following GIVI's instructions. Not hard to figure out but you would think the manufacturer would lead you in the right direction.YamaPA said:Yup, another one confirming that one should install the center stuff first, then the side bars. When done this way no issues.
For the record, I weighed all the Givi parts (bars and hardware) on my postal scale. Sad part is, that was about one week ago and now I cant find the damn wieghts I wrote down to the ounce. However, if you not being anal about weights, figure the install will add 12 pounds to your bike after subtraction of the stock hardware. It was not more than 13 pounds, I just dont have the exact number anymore. Sorry.
we may have them in stock I will check tomorrow if you want?snakebitten said:Backordered for 4-5 weeks.
That's what I get for pulling the trigger slooooowwwwwwly.
Would be great!bloke said:we may have them in stock I will check tomorrow if you want?
Weight is relative. A quick spin on my Gold Wing and the ST is light as a leather. ;Dbloke said:i think if you are you wouldn't buy a super ten bejeezuz this biotch is heavy lol
sorry we are out, i thought we ordered six sets but we didn't!snakebitten said:Would be great!
Thanks

It sounds like you are "snakebitten" ::025::.snakebitten said:Hopes dashed again!
JK. Thanks for checking sir.
For how much on the HB's???sportrider said:I believe thats a minus 2. I ordered them there and was told 5-6 weeks. I am waiting it out. Customer service is great as they offered me the H-B ones if I didn't want to wait.
That and a longer Hex wrench to reach in the left outside tubes. I have a small hand set and a really nice (ie expensive) socket set but the hand set was too short and the socket was too big. DOH!! Thats ok. It gave me an excuse to go buy some more tools ::024:: .Rynn Storm said:Did need to run out and buy a breaker bar for the engine bolts.
If you don't want to wait for Givis, there is really nothing wrong with the H&B - except maybe a bit more expensive. I would be asking about that discount!snakebitten said:Backordered for 4-5 weeks.

Seem like good folks though. They (Scott) actually called me and apologized and offered a discount on the Hepco-Becker bars if I wanted to change.
Nope! I'm a patient old geezer. I think I like these enough to wait.
Thanks for all the excellent pics and info. Bet my install goes very smooth now.
