Givi crash bars - broken bolt

Hello,

I picked up a used 13 S10 a few weeks ago that is outfitted with the givi crash bars. Upon inspection it appears one drop by the previous owner broke one of the bolts, such that the right side (if sitting on bike) is no longer attached under the headlights. The fact that the bolt was essentially cut means I can’t just put another nut on; however, I don’t see how I can get the bolt out as it is flush on the backside (built in?) and there is no room to knock it out if that’s even possible.

has anyone ever dealt with this before? Is there a way to fix, or am I stuck buying a new bar? If the latter, am I able to buy one side only?

I know it’s a bit hard to follow my description, so I have attached a couple of (bad) pics to maybe help. Where my finger is pointing in the second pic is where the broken bolt is.

It’s not a bolt, it a stud welded to the bar. If it is against the fairing panel it is bent, there should be 3/4 inch clearance. You should be able to remove the mount and drill the broken stud out and weld a new one on, or just use a bolt.D54BB20F-EB34-48BB-AA14-2E2ADDD5AB16.jpeg

If try to drill it out, leaving a hole, and replace with a nut and bolt.

When i installed mine, i broke one of those welded studs free.

I drilled it out and used a grade 8 bolt and nut from the store that I painted black. Been great so far.
