The subject says it all any advice?
I have outback trekker side casesIf you have OEM side cases, yes you will have to remove the top-case first before opening the side cases.
I'm pretty sure you will have issues with any aftermarket side-cases that have the lid opening "front to back"
If you have Bumot, or other brand side cases that have the lid opening "away from the bike" you should be ok.
What about just the trekker non aluminum 52lI have outback trekker side cases
This. Left case opens fine due to clearance because of exhaust. Right side I just remove lid. Really good combination.I have a 58l kappa k venture top box with the Yamaha raid side casses, the lids on the sides open fine as they flex, you can put the casses on the other way round and even take the lid off, never had a problem.View attachment 94831
Glad you found a sucker to buy it!As you can see in the picture, the right side is more of a challenge than the left. I sold the box and bought a Givi Outback 42L.
