glad you’re ok which is whats most important! the rear-ender is the most troubling as it feels like its the one you can react to the least. I bought a helite inflatable vest which is fluorescent yellow and it feels as if cars have been giving me more space presumably because they are under the impression i am some kind of official. When cars get to close I wave them to fall back and 9 out of 10 comply quickly. Most people are not malicious they are ignorant and irresponsible.

That's a creative place to hide the front camera. Does it peak out just below the windscreen or does it look through it?

It looks through and while it works, if doing it again I'd put it elsewhere. You can see the distortion in bottom of the photo.

Been on mine for 5 years since this thread was posted. I check every now and then to just make sure it still works.

I know this is an old thread but might if I ask where you got these? How is the footage saved? Are they always recording?

Edit: I'm sorry literally just opened that thread and noticed it's inside.. Shouldn't have went ahead of myself

Recorder is always recording and will write over when it fills the storage space. Just stick in a 64Gb chip and forget about it till needed.

I just ordered an INNOVV K3 setup for my ST. I've got dashcams in all my cars as is (Rove R2 and some older Viofos that I'm phasing out). So far they have only served as entertainment when I review the footage of other drivers doing stupid stuff. The one in my jeep wrangler locked down all the videos because jeep wranglers and G-sensors don't mix well. :D G-sensor disabled.

I have a Viofo front and rear dash cam in my car. Caught an accident that happened in front to the side of me the other day. Put it on Nextdoor if someone involved wants it. So far no reply. Thinking about adding one to that bike. Viofo and Innove both make motorcycle units. Not sure which is better.

These are not going to be high quality recordings for making Youtube videos, so I don't see the need to get systems costing more than $100. Just shoot for waterproof with lots of good reviews.
