Do you know if a Gen2 skid plate fits a gen1 s10? I've got a 2011 and looking at getting the ACD skid plate but they've only got 2014+ in stock and haven't replied to my email.

Also, has anybody used Heed crashbars? Ideally I'd want T-Rex but not paying double because of shipping and these seem to have the next best protection for the money.

Finally, if you do have Heed bars or a ACD skid plate, do you know what other brands they're compatible with? Hopefully each other

Thanks in advance

I have both Heed crashbars and an ACD skid plate fitted to my gen 2 so both your choices work together.
iirc the only difference between the gen 1 and gen 2 skid plate is that the cat is slightly bigger on the gen 2 so the skid plate needs to accommodate it.

i did see on facebook tenere, that a couple of guys could get a gen 1 acd to fit a gen 2 so sold it on so i,m guessing you do need a gen 1 acd or a gen 2 acd as i,ve seen issues with fitting

It sounds like a gen 2 could fit a gen1 as it has a smaller cat but not the other way round. Glad to know they work together. Might risk getting a gen 2 for my gen 1

Before you fit it I would suggest that you get a couple of M12 studs and nuts to replace the bolts that go through the top mounting. That way you are only removing the top 2 nuts and not disturbing the crash bars ( providing you fit the skid plate over the top of the crash bars) when changing the oil filter and It makes subsequent changes so much easier and less hassle.
I’m sure I used these ones:

I have a Gen 2, and have fitted both a Gen 1 SW Motec plate, and more recently a beefier Gen 1 RideOnAdv plate. I had to modify the rear mount and cut a small section of the RideOnAdv plate to clear the cat. I did use the modified SWM rear mount for the RideOnAdv plate.

It is easier to get the right one, but if you are able to make some mods, hopefully you could make it work. I am not familiar with that particular brand though.
