Are the Gen 1 and 2 fault codes the same? My 2014 non-ES (199,000 miles) was running a little rough yesterday and now it wont start. Trying to figure out the problem. I dont have a list of the Diag/Data codes. Seems the 2010 service manual isnt matching up with what I see. I'm showing 08/11, 06/66, 05/68, 15/18, 14/17, 13/15.

Battery is good, ignition/kickstand switch good, checked airbox. Probably need to check coils (last plug change was 57K ago). no issues ever until today. Still have YES warranty until March 2021.

we believe it is a case of very dirty valves not allowing compression to take place. nothing has broken internally or no jumped timing, oil sample is 'normal' shows no abnormal particles.

I'm not sure I understand the codes you mention; has the bike been dropped, on it's side recently?

Obviously you can try a compression test, but this seems a tad sudden so I am wondering about the fall sensor, TPS & IPS.

Do a leak down test, compression test are not much help on this engine with automatic decompression devices.
I just had the throttle bodies off my 2012 two days ago to check the valves. I looked around down in the intakes and it was spotless down in there.
Hope you get it running without any problems.
