If it has only started weeping a little oil maybe try using a seal buddy? Saves having to strip the forks off the bike. Unless the forks are due a service, of course.

Mine has the same problem. When I bought mine almost a year ago, she had a leak in the right fork. I took her to the shop, and had both replaced. Three months later, the right one started leaking again. I do not wheelie or thrash her. I had both replaced at a different shop. Three months later...last week, the left one started leaking. I just ordered a fork seal buddy...the forks are not damaged and I use her as my commuter. Once a month I take her on the dirt trails but don't overdue it. I really don't want to buy a whole new front fork set.
