Me got that to in today's post!

It'll have to wait until the spring to have it done as it's off road for the winter.

No problems in almost 6 years and 46k miles so a few more months won't hurt

Got mine today, too. I wrote to Yamaha UK last September complaining that my switch had a well known design fault and got the usual standard reply advising me that if I had a fault with the bike then I should take it to my local dealer. As the bike was out of warranty and the nearest dealer was over an hour away (and I didn’t want the usual runaraound and extortionate labour charges), I got a switch from Partzilla in the States (much cheaper than here) and fitted it myself. Gutted that I could have had one free now. Yamaha knew about this years ago.

Are you guys all first registered keepers? I bought mine 2nd hand, so may not get a letter.
When i had my Gen2 Busa then the B King they were both 2nd hand they got their recalls done no problem, i hope Yamaha are like Suzuki in this regard.

This is the second thread for this, could we make the title clearer?

“Front brake switch recall” would be much more useful

Agreed about the title and it's been changed to better reflect:
1. What this is about.
2. So far, this is just UK and possibly EU. It is not a recall in the US so far.

fwiw - There've been a number of threads about troubleshooting the cruise control by checking the dual switches in that cluster.

I haven’t gotten a letter yet, but I’m interested in getting it done. In the spring, anyway.
So far, this doesn't appear to be a recall issued in the US. I checked both the NHTSA and Yamaha USA websites, and neither have any recalls for this particular issue. The NHTSA only has two recalls listed for the S10, one for a fuel pump O-ring for the 2012 and one for a shift cam segment stopper in the 2015.

Mine is already fixed, the recall was official last week. Didn’t get a letter, saw it on the website from the RDW (licenseplate registration office).

I contacted my local Yam dealer who checked and said it was a recall and will book me in once the part arrives.
But if I hadn’t asked I wouldn’t have known
