Can I please get some input from the 'pros'?

I just installed the Dunlop Trailmax Mission on my S10 & rode 1/2 day on fire roads nearby couple of days ago. Well, the following day, my back was killing me...which possibly indicates that I need to raise my handle-bar. I've been reading the write-ups here & it looks like I will need to replace/add extension to my existing barke line and replace my clutch line with a longer one. S10 has 'linked & ABS' brake system, any pointers on what to look-out for during the front brake extension install or brake line swap? I'm pretty sure the clutch is pretty straight forward. Unfortunately, dealer nearby wants to charge $300 for installation, so IF it's something I can do myself, I'm up for it...besides, it's something new I can learn. Thank you in advance!

I was able to add 1.25" raise without changing the lines on my '15, which is a gen 2 model. I thought I'd heard that the gen 1s would allow a little more raise than the gen2s with the OEM lines.

I put 1 inch risers on my 2012 and rolled the bars back quite a bit and have plenty of line left to turn the bike. I might add i have taken 2 inches off the ends of the bars so moving the levers in a lot gave me lots of line left over. If you need new lines it should be no problem to change them and bleed it out. there is a whole thread on how to cycle the abs pump to help get air out. I have never had to do that.

Well I'm by no means a pro. Mediocre at best. But any dumb blind monkey can do the HeliBar install. Just follow the well written instructions. The only thing I do different is hang my brake MC up with lever zip tied, tap line, and let set overnight for rock solid brakes.

Here are some pics with the detail:
