Signed up recently to be part of this upcoming Black Hills Rally -

Got out of bikes in my mid-20's due to an accident; got back into it in my 40's because my kid was interested and I thought I was mature enough to handle testosterone induced impulses that rapidly overtook my riding abilities. Since getting back on a bike, I have gravitated to trail and adventure-biking.

Current bikes are:
1) Beta X-Trainer for my single-track'n fantasies
2) Yamaha T700 for 2-track and adventure pursuits
If you ask me today, these 2 bikes hit the full range of my riding interest

Past bikes I've loved:
- DRZ400 … Don't know why, this bike fits me like a glove and can do it ALL
- '89 Transalp … Awesome ergos, great personality, love me the red one

Don't know what else to say. I can handle about a long week on a bike and then I'm done - not sure I'm an "Alaska and Back" or "2 Month" kind of rider. Moved to the Black Hills 10 years ago because the scenery and riding is great. Also love the Moab scene and try to get down there once a year for riding or whatever

Look forward to meeting ya'll this summer.

Hey Wacked, Nice to see you'll be able to hit the Tenere get together in July and thanks for volunteering to lead some Teneres around the hills in July. That's probably my biggest about organizing the Tenere rally is not having the technical knowledge to assemble tracks or gpx files for guys to put in their GPS for self guided tours. I can't wait to get down there and see you for the spring dual sport Rally in June.
