So for a long time I have been saying that I was going to remove the old stock ones. And at the rally I sat on a few bikes..............what I forgot to ask was is there a set of pegs that raises them up a bit? They seem to low for me, any suggestions?

SW Motech makes them. They can be moved up or down 5mm. I have them on my bike. $150 from Revzilla.

Fastway can raise or lower 10mm I think.

I've been considering the IMS pegs. I'd be very interested in reviews.

Speaking from personal experience, having large foot pegs like that is just asking for the embarrassing "caught my pants leg on my peg and couldn't get my foot down and fell over" experience! I had the large Fastway pegs and took them off after a few weeks because I struggled to get my legs outside of the peg once you stop at a light. Just sayin......

They look like they would definitely be useful on long rides with little/no stop-n-go. Plenty of room to move around. But, I'm in agreement with sedwards. My clutsy ass would catch SOMETHING on those monsters....and down I would go.

Those big pegs would cause me a hard time shifting, with my TCX Dual Sport Boots I struggle a bit now! The stock position I couldn't hardly shift, I adjusted some the shift lever was up and it is now easier but still not perfect.
When I bought the bike the rubbers were missing and it made it worst as the tread in my boots would get hung up and make it tough to get my foot in the correct position.

Yes they do. Both the ADV1 and ADV 2 are available.

they do seem way to big for me as well
I have been using the oversized pegs for quite a few seasons on both my Beta and now on my Super Tenere with no issues of pants hanging up. I will say I only wear riding pants that are tight around the boots. I don't like loose cuffs. I do know from experience getting baggy pants caught on footpegs and kick starter sucks!

Another thing to consider is it's also difficult to get kickstand down and retracted. I use a snapping motion to help. Also 1st time I dropped bike in driveway I bent the footpeg mount and pin. It was a pain in the butt to fix. I ended up having to use a cutoff wheel to remove the peg and had to build peg back up with weld material. The bike was ridable with the bent mount and pin but not fixable in the field.

Changing out the shift lever and adding a brake pedal extender was a must for me. Also had to adjust rear brake pedal hight and brake switch. I run my pedal pretty much even with the footpeg. It's personal preference. I am very picky as to the ergos of my bikes. Most guys that ride my bikes can't believe how comfortable they are to ride. I spent hours adjusting and readjusting just the shifter and brake length/hight until it was perfect.

Since the first dropping of the bike it's tipped over twice with no issues. These oversize pegs are not for everyone. I just want to make sure that you all know there has been a compromise with these. The OEM pegs are a damn good design. They are cheap to replace and designed to break off in a crash or tip over. In fact I decided to go back to OEM if I have to keep repairing the footpeg bracket mounted to the frame

Here are some more pics of them and stainless brake pedal extender and compared to my Beta Fastway adventure pegs:
