Don't have an S10 yet, in the process of shopping/ learning/ doing a theoretical mods I want list.

I notice in pictures they are serrated on the front and rear of the peg. Is the rubber removable or do I need to get a set of pivot pegs/dirt pegs?

I simply love my pivot pegs on my Versys and will probably upgrade to them at some point on the S10. Just wondering how soon that needs to be on the list.

It is removeable. But also so soft that I believe you will reach the metal part, when standing up.

If you are just resting your foot on the pegs, they are on the rubber, which helps reduce the vibrations(ish). Put any real weight on your foot, and you are on the metal and compressing the rubber out of the way.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like I can move that to the bottom of the list then.

I've got pivot pegz on my Tenere. High quality stuff. I don't care for them at all when I stand up. They need to be stable when standing.
I don't do any "hard core" off road where I need to be shifting or braking while standing. Ive just really come to love the width of them especially when loaded and using that to step on.

I removed the rubbers after the first muddy off road trip and numerous foot slips. I don't find it vibrates enough to bother putting them back on.
