Getting tired of sleeping on the ground and sliding off the edge of my pad onto the cold tent floor and waking up all stiff after sleeping all cattywampus.
I just bought one of these cots the best deal that a fellow ADV member turned me onto $138.00 + $8.50 shipping.
I couldn't find a decent size light cot that is wide and could handle 300 pounds..
Anybody have any experience with one? The price says $189.00 but once you add it to your cart it drops down to $136.19..

Re: TravelChair Sleeprite Cot best price found under $145.00!

I don't have the cot, but I do own one of the travelchairs, the Wallaby model. I bought it because it has a drinkholder, sits higher off ground than helinox and holds over 300lbs.
It's very sturdy and comfortable, i wouldn't hesitate to buy another one of their products.

I will give an assessment when I get it I am a little over 300lbs 6'3" so I am maxing this out.
I see your avatar has a double cutaway what guitar do you play? Nice top on it.
Thanks for the reply..

It's just a chinese ibanez.
I foolishly sold my les Paul custom many years ago. I'm in the process of changing out all the hardware and electronics. It actually plays and sounds great for a $550 guitar. The finish is gorgeous.

The Ibanez Artcore series are great guitars and take little modding to become a killer player.
If you have plans to replace the pickups talk to Jeff owner of High Order pickups. I have three Heritage H-150's with his pickups and I have tried many Duncan Seth Lovers, Jason Lollar and bare knuckle PAF copies. Jeff's prices are under $100.00 each and he will work with you as he is extremely knowledgeable about Humbuckers.

Just saying not affiliated with Jeff just passing my experience on. Been playing as long as I have been riding. Replacing the potentiometers and caps is another good step as well.
I am a lefty player so my picks are very small better than in 1974 I build my own guitars if I can't buy one. Les Paul yes I have a story on that one but it's painful to repeat.
Lets just say it was a Black Beauty custom three pickup 73 lefty Gold hardware, I was into Peter Framton.. Never should have let it go as well. ::010:: :'(

Yes i believe it is an artcore. When setup properly it really does play well.
It actually sounds better clean than the LP did!
Mine was a black with gold hardware. Sat under my bed and never got played. Kills me that I let it go.
I will check those links.
Also plan on fitting Grovers.
Thanks

Re: Anyone try this cot?

I just ordered one of these last week:

http://www.epicsports.com/prod/92172/travelchair-sleeprite-cot.html

Add it to your cart to see the price: $136.19. It is a full 30" wide and 78" long for folks like me who like to spread out and move a lot while sleeping. Rated for 300#, packs fairly small and weighs about 5#. Several reviews on YouTube.

I'll post up a report once I get it tested.

I swear by the real version and the XL version adds not only length but precious width. Fakes are narrower than the non-XL size.

Killer closeouts online for the real version since an upgrade for 2017. Buddy just got the ultralite for 136 at moosejaw. That's about 100 bucks savings.

Re: TravelChair Sleeprite Cot best price found under $145.00!

Received it yesterday set it up and laid my big ass down and after a bit of screams of ""Your Breaking My BAAAck""! I settled in.
It could as anything be a little wider by another 2-3" as my shoulders are right on the side bars, mind you not my shoulder blades good thing 30" wide.
With my Klimat it makes it feel wider and don't feel cramped.. I never I was like that fills the whole tent!! but after thinking you have space under the cot to stash things.
Flat stuff like clothes all your flattened bags and leave room on the sides for pack or whatever you shouldn't be bringing in the first place!! :D
It's like 8lbs fits inside my side bags. and for it'sfunction and purpose it's worth it, as for price $100.00 would sell a lot of these cots but still below $150.00 can't complain.
It will beat sleeping on the ground won't it? Let's see how it hold up the aluminum is some heavy gauge and the plastics seem solid.

I've ordered one, supposed to be here next week. I'm 6'2" and 200#, but I like to sprawl out and I move a lot when I sleep. I'll be using it without a pad in the summer, and a Thermarest 77" x 25" x 1.5" for cooler camping. That'll give me about 2.5" on each side for a forearm or a knee to flop. I'll compare notes with ya.

Set up my trusty old Sierra Designs Night watch CD on the back porch put the cot in. I touch the front or rear inside depends on how close I put the cot on ether end. Wasn't as bad as I was worried about, just need to be aware of the walls sagging in at night when it gets damp.
Tossed the Klymit Static V-Lux pad on it and it made a huge difference. evened out the dip and no issues whacking an elbow on the frame. Still am going to have problems rolling around but I will come to some sort of compromise. I wish now I didn't sell my MSR Mo Room2 that thing was a box car of room.
Again it is better than sleeping on the ground and hanging off the mat sucking up cold dampness through the tent floor. I am going to set up my Eureka military one man and see if I can pull it off, I doubt it but I can say I tried.
Was hoping for a run up to Ouray after Monday Mad memorial day week is over but Durango or Pagosa looks like nice weather. South of me is hell hot already.
I camped once in Ouray couple days after memorial day one year and froze my Knackers off that night.. Should have known better as it snowed in Mesa Verde where a friend and I camped the day before!! My buddy just made a pot of coffee and I crawled back into my tent told him Wake me up when it clears.. Love it near the end of the month in Colorado.

But then I thought, "What If"? ::017::
This is one of my go to tents besides the SD.
A bit tight with the cot for 6'3", but yes it fits!!
Your rubbing your head or your feet a little without the pad it is more realistic.
A thinner mat will be the next attempt. I have a Thermarest.
Fully staked out the floor and walls will spread out more.
A little modding to the tent end walls and one could pull this off comfortably. Or a few shots of Crown then one will not care! :D

That red pad looks comfy! ::008::

I've got an MSR Elixir 2 I'm hoping the new cot will fit in there. :-X

84" = 7' long inside standard on most tents. Shouldn't have an issue solo.

And the slight sag will steal more of that precious width as well..
