So I followed this guy again today

To places remote

And it was view after view

We log hopped, puddle splashed, and mud surfed like big dogs. We entertained a skidder operator and dozer operator with our prowess in mud. Got in another 250 today after a good 250 with DSMike from KY yesterday. I had a great time here with some awesome folks and the best riding! Thank You all you FODS people. Harrison if you would have been with us Jim would never be able to tease you about your route choice. Today had you written all over it. Looks like I'm carrying some WV mud home.

Hey, I know that guy!! He's the best damn tour guide for that part of WV that one could ask for. I would have happily gone along for the ride.

Glad you enjoyed the area, Mark. That is pretty much my "normal" home turf when not translocated for grad school.

I am bummed that I missed the weekend, but glad that ya'll had fun.

I am thinking I might try to wrangle up a cool weather 3-day ride for TBDBITW aficionados out there this coming Fall. Stay tuned.

I need to take you and Snake and Sails2xxs and EemsReno the others with great disregard for big bikes in rough country onto some of the truly off-road rides that Spklbuk and DirtDad cuss me for running the Tenere on. Ya'll would have a blast!!!

You might be surprised to know I am currently shopping for a new skid plate and bars for the next bike. I may just be taking a new direction there. I have a few more questions for Mark before I pull the trigger.

A few good options out there. I'd say you'd be hard pressed to go wrong with either the full Rumbux setup or with running the Altrider crash bars with either the ACD or Jaxon's skid. I have the former setup and have beat the crap out of it and Fancy keeps on trucking along.

Maybe we can convert you to TBDBITW club afterall!!!

Mark - I have several rides in the greater New River Gorge area that will make the roughest stuff we did at Romney look like a kiddie ride. Fun times to be had!!!

Great video Bill. Good to know that Round Mountain hasn't changed since I was in that way.

A few ride pics

All attendees except Mrs. Wanda who is piloting the camera as we gathered at the Sat evening communal grub

the playground

True Grip wandered in all the way from TN. Really glad you made it up sir! His bike did not leave WV that clean. ;D

Battle wound inspection

Dirt Dad kicking some roost

Dirt Dad being Dirt Dad

Sat lunch stop

True Grip looking all triumphant after conquering Droop to Briery Knob following last night's deluge. Slippery when wet!

But that reach could not hold a candle compared to the usually placid Flynn Creek where we traversed a downed log and a road turned log landing/mud pit complete with an audience as we tackled it head on. I tell you Mark can pilot the hell out of a Tenere and he doesn't even get excited when the guide gets lost! Harrison, I found a new road today! The trick will be to find it twice!!

Looking from the Kay Pee Skyway back to see where we had been. Briery is the ridge with the humps.

Elderberries showing their full color

The first FODS east was a great run. Thanks to all who attended and all who followed along virtually. I think everyone had a good time. Maybe we will try again next June.

Here are some of Mrs. DSBikers pics. While the rest of us go out and take pics of motorcycles, riders in their gear, scenic vistas, roads and other such trivia. She has an eye for what really makes these gatherings special! Thank you Mrs. Wanda. Some of these folks hang out on other forums so you may not recognize them, but you will recognize a good time had by all!

Friday evening at El Toro Joe’s BBQ Emporium…

As Mike and others contemplate tomorrow’s supper order, Bill is still working on today’s

High level conferences no doubt

Whad’ you say!? Whad who say? Wanna make somethin’ of it huh!?

A monsoonal Sat evening at the picnic shelter…

Billy and Lee having fun at Tom’s expense

Bench racing aplenty

Pam is certainly a rose between the Tom/Wayne thorns

Wayne paying the picnic admission fee

Now it is Alex’s turn to be the rose between Joe/Robert thorns. Jeebers the company you keep young man.

The whole crew and nothing but the crew…

FODS WV 2015 was a great weekend. Thanks to all who attended and to those of you who followed along virtually. Maybe we will have another go next June.

I got in at 2:30 central time a hot one but no drama. Another successful Tenere Adventure. I enjoyed every bit of it if I lived close I'd be at your house every weekend. Outstanding riding and company ::008::

::001::Until next time friends!

Oh please... do you really expect us to believe you got lost? Not buying it for even a second.

A might turned around then. A totally unexpected surprise exit.

I'll show you sometime when I get it worked out.
