::012::Just got back from the 1st ride on my new 2012 Tenere. Only put 100 miles on it, but here we go. Great feeling bike, feels like the 2007 Tiger 1050ABS I sold 6 months ago, with better suspension and brakes. I need a bigger windshield at 6'4" I am in the wind. It feels very very solid and comfortable. Power is fantastic and I know it will just get better. I know I need to put 2000 or so miles on a bike to really feel it all out in all cond. Now I have spent most of my adult life mounted on a BMW and I keep going back time and time again hoping it will just be a little more reliable, (NOT) but they just fit me. Not sure what it is but nothing rides like a GS. I know totally different bikes trying to do the same thing.
As I told my wife this time I am committed to change. Before I put one mile on the Tenere I spent 2k on goodies to set this bike up right. I have a feeling once I fully control this bike and understand it characteristics we are going to get along great. I am looking forward to putting all this stuff on next week.

Looking back at my first 4000 miles I can only say, the last 100 miles have been more pleasurable than the first 100 miles. This bike just keeps getting better. It begs to be ridden and has yet to disappoint, regardless off or on road! ::008::

Kraigd, welcome and congrats on the Tenere......I have a love/hate relationship with mine.......I love to ride it and hate when something else keeps me from riding ::022:: Seriously though, I enjoy mine the more I ride it!

Glad you are getting use to your Super Ten. I just bought mine Saturday and have ridden just over 200 miles and really love it. Can't wait to get it broken in. I also will need a larger windscreen as I am also tall.

Welcome Kraigd ! Congrats on your new bike. They seem to only get better the more miles you get on them. Where in TN are you? IM in central Tennessee. We should try to get some miles in some day. Lots of great roads nearby that are perfect for the Tenere. ::022::

I also have a Tiger1050 (no intention of getting rid of it either), but the brakes on my Tiger are much better than the ST. The ST brakes felt very, very wooden when new, now they just feel wooden. Not bad at all, just nowhere near as powerful as the Tiger.

It would be great to get a group together some weekend. Not sure where, but with in 1000 miles of Knox Im in ::012:: Hey Paul I bought the parabellum 26" I will have it next week. I will give you an update ASAP. Hoping the 24 wil do the trick I think 26 is going to feel like a barn door. The owner said he will adjust the 26 to where ever I need it. He is a great guy a knows his stuff. His shop is North GA not far from Tn.

Thanks for the update. I ordered the 26" Parabellum last Saturday. I plan on placing it in the lowest sitting. Let us know after you test it out.
