Same thoughts here. I wouldn't want to give up the shaft drive and go back to a chain drive for anything other than a secondary play bike. Didn't Honda have a shaft drive adventure bike many years ago in the 700-750 range? I know chains are lighter, cheaper, superior in handling, gearing changes ect, Despite those facts, I would love to see a mid size shaft drive adventure bike.Sierra1 said:I still think of the T7 as an "addition to" instead of a "replacement of". It shares the name, but not the mission. Great bike either way.

I would have been on that SE like stink on a monkey. The price was right too. But yeah...to import two ktms would have been a bit of a PITA. I brought in two bikes from the states (ST, FZ09) but that was before they made you get a broker involved, and both were new.snakebitten said:All bikes are always for sale. But nobody ever gave me what any of them are worth. Lol
My wife FORCED me to sell my nephew her SV650. He's a good boy, but he still STOLE from his uncle.
Seriously, I made an offer to a fellow inmate here after he rode the SE and went kind of gaga over it. If it weren't for border issues, it'd probably live in Canada today.
As it is, shamefully it sits with a dead battery, probably dirty carb jets, and barn dust. I have no good excuse for such calamity. Shame on me!
Dear Mr. Honda; Please start production of XLV 750s again. I will buy 2 of them. Better still make it an XLV 900. Oh, make sure it's available in the U.S.Dogdaze said:::026:: And it was shaft driven..............

Damn it looks good!
I'm fine with waiting another 1½ year, as I've already been waiting a looong time for a bike just like this to be released - and will enjoy and continue riding my TBDBITW.
Looks like Moto Guzzi might have answered that prayer.Andylaser said:The Honda XLV 750. it ticked a lot of boxes. Wish they made something similar today.
Except for the Moto Guzzi part... : If you cut out Hawaii, there are only 30 states listed as having Moto Guzzi dealers on the Moto Guzzi USA web site. Then there are the ones that aren't dealers any more... Never mind the states have have only one dealer. Outside of CA, TX, FL and oddly NY, hardly any states have more than 3. Most only have one or two. Total number of authorized Guzzi dealers, from their site today is: 71 I'd call that barely in business at all for a brand like Guzzi. Might as well stop exporting to the USA and safe money on meeting the US emissions/DOT rules.Andylaser said:Looks like Moto Guzzi might have answered that prayer.
Have you had a close look at the current crop of big ADV machines? Almost all of them come with their front fender an inch from the front tire (OK, really really close, anyway). It's ridiculous!EricV said:For all the bold talk of off road adventure riding, why is the polished prototype shown with a street only front fender? The bike in the video has a high fender, but not the more production looking one in the pics below the vid. And I don't think those headlights and that tail will survive DOT inspection. Looks like what most would prefer though! No bike for short riders.
The bike in the (latest) video and pictures is the same. Don't confuse the T7 concept with the Ténéré 700 World Raid prototype - the later looks pretty much productions ready.EricV said:For all the bold talk of off road adventure riding, why is the polished prototype shown with a street only front fender? Easy fix. Several aftermarket co's have the fix. When and if the T7 shows it will have it as well.Dogdaze said:I know that you can buy a fender 'riser kit' for the Honda AT, that will raise the front fender about 2", perhaps there will be that option for the T7?
