I would check and see if you can buy one in the U.S. that will cover your bike in Australia. If so, I paid $180 dollars for mine which covers my bike for an additional four years. I normally do not buy extended warranty stuff but I figured that if anything goes wrong it will be more than what I paid for the warranty.
If you can buy it via the U.S. let me know and I will send you the name of the Yamaha shop where I got it.
