Here is a picture of the separated forks. Replaced the seals and bushings. I had leaks on the right after just changing the oil a few months ago. There had been residual old oil, pretty dark, so I replaced it again. Thanks GV550 for the extra hands and seal driver. Did not need to remove the cartridge. Seals and bushings are the same for the ES or non ES.

Thanks to everyone’s input , I was able to flush my brake fluid and repackaged the steering stem. The forks were hung upside down for 2 days to drain as much fluid as possible. I am the 2nd owner, and the 1st owner took very good care of the bike as the steering bearings were loaded with grease! Like most here, I made up a fork compressor and fork oil tool to measure the air gap. All worked brilliantly!
