2016 Tenere ES error code 69. I had/have an engine knock so I brought it to my mechanic to check the top end....nothing found but now I have an error code 69. Engine light, TCS and abs all on. Maybe coincidence maybe something he inadvertently did no clue. I cleared the alarm but it comes right back. Anyone know what exactly the code 69 is ( I know I know, stop giggling). My mechanic thinks it’s a rear caliper pressure fault code. I can’t get back in to see him for a few days and I have plans to ride so any thoughts would be appreciated....thanks

At least you got past the 68 error code. So what it means is you already paid back the favor and don't owe her one anymore!!;)

Fault code No. 69
Symptom
Item/components/probable cause
Rear brake caliper pressure sensor malfunction

Rear brake caliper pressure sensor is defective
Check or maintenance job
Replace the hydraulic unit assembly

At least that's what the service manual says......

Thread was closed and now re-opened. Roadkill feels that since there were only older threads that they would not apply to his bike and problem. What he missed is that this hasn't changed between the Gen1 and Gen2 bikes.

I'd written (by memory) that there were numerous threads which turn up with a simple search that already discuss this with the following example.
https://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?threads/fault-code-69.3364/

Doing a search, there were two previous threads, so not quite the "numerous" that I remembered but the info was in the below thread. In addition to people who have already discussed Code 69, it has the pertinent page from the MX manual.
https://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?threads/default-codes-and-speedhealer-and-odometer-error.2720/

Don't have time to merge the threads right now, so feel free to add to this one.
