OK, Photobucket went to the grave for me because it is slower than a snail. And I discovered that Google Photos are really FAST! but does not gives you a direct link for embedding images here. You have to do an extra step.

1. You have to have Google Photos account, and place you images as a Shared Album.
2. Click on the picture and then use the Share function. Click on the "Get Link".
3. It will generate a link. Copy this link.
4. Go to this website: https://ctrlq.org/google/photos/?_ga=1.132400077.254186846.1489840960
5. Copy the link into the Text Box. Then Generate the code. It takes a few seconds and when it is done, it automatically scrolls down.
6. There will be 2 choices, Direct Link and Embedded Image Code. Choose Direct Link (copy it)
7. Now, go back to your Forum thread, and use the "Embed Image" icon which basically generates the "[ i m g ]" "[/ i m g]"
8. Paste the link between the IMG. Done. do a Preview to make sure all is working before posting.

This was a timely post, as I'd just posted on the Stromtroopers site asking about a reliable easy to use image hosting service. So, thanks!

Thanks for this! I've been using Google for a while for my photo hosting needs, but I noticed that finding the URL became very difficult recently. I also moved this over to Suggestions/Feedback, and made it a sticky!
