Electronic Suspension Alert

I just completed a 13,200 mile adventure ride from my home in Georgia to Alaska (Arctic Circle, Coldfoot) and back on my 2015 Super Tenere ES. This was a 6 week trip. On the last day of the trip I left my ignition switch on while in a restaurant eating breakfast. When I got ready to leave my battery was too weak to crank the bike. Tried to bump start but even in second gear the rear tire slid and bike didn't crank. I finally had to get a jump start. After cranking, the bike ran fine and cranked easily after a few miles of riding. The bike now has a warning light for the suspension. I can no longer toggle any suspension adjustments. I have switched the bike off and restarted it several times since this happened. I also completely disconnected the battery but the warning light is still on and I still can't toggle suspension adjustments. How do I find out the code and how do I clear the code? Any ideas greatly appreciated. The bike now has 25,000 miles on it. I bought it new and have never had any problems with it in the past.
Thanks,
Steve

Sounds like the battery was not providing enough juice to power the ECU and fuel pump so it wouldn't start.
Disconnect the battery and leave it for half an hour and then reconnect, see if it clears the light.

My dumb ass has done this TWICE. But I never received any warning lights after getting it started. I have received a warning light on my Jeep after traveling fast down a rough road. The warning light was for the Electronic Stability Program, not traction control. It stayed on for a couple of ignition cycles, and then went off; and stayed off. The local dealer didn't know why it came on, but that's not surprising. Just saw that you did the disconnect. Did it come back on immediately?

Use Checkswrecks link to find and clear the codes. If you don't have a shop manual you will need to search for the procedure to re-initiate the electronic suspension. It's here somewhere. Some have had to do it after replacing the rear spring and not initially setting the system to one rider and no luggage. Confuses the system otherwise. Hopefully that will fix it.

I went through the procedure for retrieving the diagnostic codes. The code came up DIAG 01 and DATA 14. I have no idea what this tells me. I tried to clear the code but it did not work. Any more suggestions? Any idea what these codes are?

I ended up taking my bike to the dealership. It turns out Gen2 ST's are a little different when it comes to clearing codes. Instead of scrolling to 63 as on Gen1 bikes, you have to scroll to 84 on Gen2 ST's. The tech wouldn't let me watch since the shop is off limits to customers but he said he cleared a lot of codes. It seems every time you disconnect a harness plug as I had to do to replace the windshield bracket on my bike after the wind blew it over in a Walmart parking lot in Montana, there is a code in the ECU. Once all the codes were cleared and the ECU was reprogrammed my warning light went out and my electronic suspension is working again. Although they worked on it for over an hour on a Friday afternoon they only charged me for half an hour. Best $60 I have spent lately. CUDOS to Yamaha of Byron, GA.

My Tenere is the most "high-tech" vehicle that I've owned. My '13 Jeep is manual trans/windows/locks. I can fix almost anything mechanical. Electronics scare the crap out of me, but I do love them when they are working correctly. (I still even have a flip phone)
