Hi All

Next Monday I’m going to send my bike to an exhaust manufacturer here in Spain. They are going to using it to develop a new exhaust line for the ST.
I ask them to reduce size and weight from stock and avoid all the plastic covers including the black one on the back on the left leg annoying when you stand up.
Hope they can make it and also improves power and sound from the stock.
When finished I tell you the results.
Could be something like this...

Re: New exhaust line fot the ST: in process

Starting the prototype.
There are two possibilities:
a. A big exhaust in the left
b. Two small ones in each side

Its smaller than it looks in the pic.
It's going to be fixed in the same angle to the subframe, using the handle holes.. Probably the only problem could be to fit some panniers on the right. (Not a problem for me).

What do you think?.
(Hope not too fugly... :D)

Just a prototype. We need fully adjustments, remove the pegs and the plastic cover ... but I can imagine the final result.

Looks kinda cool but not my style. I hope it's quiet. I spent all day riding in my truck on Hwy 26 & Hwy 20 in South Carolina with the Harley open pipes. About a thousand bikes on the way to Dayton Bike Week. Every time I passed a group w/ loud pipes I wonder how the hell you listen to that for 8 hours. The H.D. vibration is bad enough but then add the noise. The stock baffle is fine for me but everyone has their own preference. I'd be interested in what these sound like. Thanks for the post.

I’m totally agree with you, I don’t like noise and It’s the worst for the image of motorists, so hope the new baffles are not going to be noisy.
The stock baffle is the ugliest, biggest, heaviest I ever see (just my opinion) and the black plastic on the bottom is annoying when I standing up on the pegs, so the idea of these new ones are to solve all this, also I hope the bike is going to "breathe" better… we’ll see.
Thanks for your opinions.

Re: Dual exhaust line fot the ST

Today I picked up the bike from None, the exhaust factory. I’m impressed. Still a hand made prototype to test but it looks great… and it sounds better!!
With the DBkillers the sound is similar to an Akrapovich. Without is louder but not too much, lovely music!!
They use titanium in the baffles and a very thin stainless steel in the pipes. The two baffles and the dual pipes are the same weight than the stock but better distribute. I can take off all the plastic cover, food pegs, etc.
Hope to do a proper test this weekend.

And you say the weight of two cans and the split pipe is comparable to stock? ::026::

The people from None (the exhaust factory), said in monday they are going to send me the details (weight, power, noise…) compared from the stock one, an Akrapovich and this. Yesterday, when I took it, they said weight is heavier than the Akra and very similar to stock.
But we need to add some heat protections in some places so it could be a little bit heavier. We’ll see….

Extremely nice work. I think that the Y-Section could have been done a little cleaner: it looks restrictive from the photos, but a prototype is a prototype. Very nice new look. With suitable heat shields, it should be better yet. Any difference in performance? Balance?
