Re: Dual exhaust line for the ST. Evo 2 READY TO PRODUCTION!!

With shipping, heavy is not so much a problem, it's the size that kills you and drives the price up. I pay around $100 USD just to ship full sets of the Rumbux crash bars, even though they only weigh ~31 lbs boxed up. I'm billed for ~100 lbs because of the size of the box.

The None system should box well, possibly except for the cross over Y pipe. Everything else is nice and compact. Great looking system and I'd love to remove my left side passenger peg and all that plastic of the heat shield, but won't be spending the $830+ shipping any day soon unless I win a lottery.

You're right, volume drive the price up.
I know... there is quite a lot of money but they are two exhaust and the Y pipe...
The good thing in this farkles is they keep the price quite well if one day you want to sell the bike and the exhaust apart.
I normally sell them at least half of the original price…

Re: Dual exhaust line for the ST. Evo 2 READY TO PRODUCTION!!

Hi
I received a mail from None. They planned to start production the 10th January. When the exhaust where ready they are going to put the exhaust in their online shop. You can see the shipping price also in the web and the paying system.
They have distributors in UK, Sweden, Germany, France, Portugal and Spain.
If there is a group buy they can offer a discount

I want one. ::014:: ::014:: I've been emailing and Oscar has quoted me 95Euros for shipping to Yukon.
If a group buy gets going I can wait as it's been -30 to -40c  here for weeks so no riding for a while :))
A group buy might offset some shipping

couldn't wait for a group buy. I ordered mine today ::012:: I sold my Motorrad carbon can to help with this one. Shipping was 20euro less than what Oscar quoted ::014::
It's getting warmer here so hope to be riding in 2 or 3 months :'( :'( :'(
Winter does strange things. I've striooed the tank & plastics and are painting them Pearl White, am building a combo fuel tank/tool container to replace rear seat. Will narrow up the SW Motech racks once None exhaust gets here
Am building frt fork guards -similar to world crosser, but less $$ and tighter fit

21' wheel & suspension will have to wait another season ::013:: I'll be lucky to get this done for May ::002::

Not an easy mod but I really recommend it. This bike with the 21” front wheel and a good (and longer) suspension is a beast!!... and then you don’t need to be worried about your skid plate again ::008::

My dealer is thinking in commercialise a 21” wheel kit, if he does it I tell you

I admire the effort you guys invest in pushing the bikes development but I think it is easier to take the tenere 660 if the going is too tough for the 1200. I think the s10 is awesome on fire trails and light off road but picking it up all day in heavy going doesn't appeal to my middle aged body. I would love to ride a 21 inch conversion but prefer the light and agile dual purpose bikes in really tough off road conditions. The dual cans look great but it seems more to damage in a low speed drop in the bush.
Love following your post and watching what you are achieving.

If the Tenere 660 was available in Canada I would probably have one. As well as 1200 O:) As it is My lite bike is a WR450. no good for anything over 100km ride though . Am lusting over the new Husky TE310 as a replacment for the 450-lighter,better mpg
With this dual exhaust I think there is less damage potential because it fits tighter to frame. That's what I wanted

Did you try the 660?
When Yamaha launch it I had an ’92 XTZ 660 and was decided to buy the new one but after a test ride I was really disappointed, it was more or less like the old one: poor suspensions, little power, heavy… not a big improvement after all these years…

I’m not a young guy (nearly 53) and find the ST very comfortable for long rides. The 21” front wheel improves dramatically the off road performances but keeping nearly the same attitudes in highway. I have also a Suzuki DRZ but since I have the Super Tenere is full of dust in the garage, I love take the big bike to long rides on and off road and now I find the Suzuki much limited than before.

The dual cans are just the opposite that you say, they are smaller than the single cans and are so close to the bike that is very difficult to damage them. I fell several times with them but they don’t have a single scratch. Also if you damage one is much cheaper to replace one of these small cans than a full big one.

Jamie, I have owned Tenere's for 23 years and have a 2010 660 and a 2010 s10 and an old 90 model in the garage. Love them All. I am a Tenere nut. I consider the s10 the best all rounder, the best road bike, the best tourer and a fine dirt trailer but the 660 kicks its arse off road. I would love to ride your bike with the big front wheel but if I am riding up a long steep rocky hill, give me the 660 any day. Don't find it underpowered with racing cans and point to point is very good As soon as things are truly dual purpose, the big s10 rules.

Got my "None" exhaust a couple of weeks ago but it's been too damn cold  to work on the bike much
Finally couldn't wait anymore , so fired the heater up in the shed & got to work.
Installed newly painted tank, fender & side panels--(no decals yet-still undecided )
Mocked up the exhaust, with & without passenger pegs, with & without racks
Will be modding my Sw-Motech racks for sure ( narrowing up lh side)
Will build totally new pillon peg mounts--(don't need pegs but need mount for pannier racks)

Build quality of this NONE exhaust is fantastic, a bit harder to install than pure slip-on , but still easy

Forgot to take a video & sound bite  But trust me it sounds great O:)
