Don’t wear your helmet into Walmart

Why would anyone deliberately wear their helmet inside of a store. It is impossible to be aware of your surroundings when off the bike and walking around in public.

That was a nice clean arrest. When store management asks you to leave and you don't that is trespassing on private property. Walmart is the world of dregs and scum of our society. It is a very small percentage of hard working middle class that shop there.

Of course I'm biased, but he's got nobody to blame but himself. There was the one smack talking cop, but the body cam wearer was talking normal to the guy, and the guy didn't want to tell him his age. 'Cuz the cop was right. . . . nowadays. . . . with the mass shootings. . . . just don't do stupid s**t.

I've wondered since everybody is wearing masks, if robberies have increased. I mean, now you can walk into a store, face all covered, and until you pull a gun, or demand money, the poor clerk just has to wait, and hope for the best. I've seen known felons/gang members, walking around a store, with their bandana masks partially covering their face tatts. . . . .

I don't know if I'm one of the scum, dregs, or hard working middle class ( since I don't work anymore). . . . I don't like shopping at W-M, but I do. :)

I shop there too. I don't like to either.

That video was great ! That rider don’t care about anyone but his self.
Yes there’s often a weirdo or two at my local Walmart but 99% of the folks shopping there are hard working common everyday folks.

Dude this is funny as fuck. I give props to the rider and when in doubt deny, deny, deny. Also ignorness can work sometimes if you can articulate it. Bad part on the officers for trying to intimidate him and blowning things out proportion but that's nothing new. In the end what a massive waste of time for everyone. But everyone is getting paid except for the rider and at loss for the tax payer and calls for service.

I've seen riders go in gas stations to pay for gas with a helmet on. I don't do it myself. But going in Walmart is stupid with it on is stupid. He needs to get a modular helmet if he's in that big of a hurry.

There's plenty of all classes that shop in Walmart down here. The choices are kinda limited because Walmart put the others out of business.

Wow, pretty harsh judgment on Wal-Mart shoppers. Do you have any evidence or just another opinion? I'm assuming you're one of the "better" people.

Plenty wrong on both sides. Rider was being a dick but not a complete ass, trying to explain but smack talking cop said he was being argumentive and to stop talking. So he complied and did stop. His explanations did make sense except for not removing helmet to save time. Then he is asked his age while they have his drivers license in their hand. Stop talking or talk? Kinda a no win situation.

'Come on folks, at the end of the day, weez all God's children and we all had different upbringings and opportunities or lack of.
I do realize that we are NOT all equal in our abilities hence, this results in different levels of income. I consider myself blessed, cause I have a good income and can afford my Tenere or a new FJR if want one. I do, on occasion shop at Walmart and I can easily spot some of the people that were referred to in some of the previous posts. It don't make me no better than them. So, let's all be polite, show respect and all get along. Remember this, if nothin else, your poop smells as bad as the next guy..

I can't say that ever left my helmet on during an entire shopping experience at wal mart but for years before i got a debit card i would stop and get gas in the bike or pick up things like lunch for work or milk for home at stores and never took my helmet off. Especially in the winter when i would have a insulated bandanna around my face. I never had any issues at all. Different times than now though but it has not been that long ago that i did that. Most of my stops people are used to me too. I am sure they are thinking or saying under their breath there is that dumb @$$ again on this 5 degree morning riding that bike. haha.

I do it all the time. If I need to just go in to pay for the gas, or get a Gatorade, why take it off for the 3 minutes. Never had an issue, but I would not do it going into a regular store.

I think that a large part of it. They know your "that crazy guy that always rides a bike"; not a threat. I've seen people doing that at convenience stores, but never in a huge store like W-M. And, another thing about the guy in the video. The store manager tried numerous times to get his attention. . . . the guy had to notice him. But, he's just like people at the gym headphones in ignoring everybody. They don't watch where they walk, and when they walk into you, or come out the restroom and don't see you. . . . they don't say a word. They just change directions and go on their way. I don't know if they're that afraid of person to person contact, or just have bad manners. I don't use headphone in public. I don't like not being able to hear things around me. Might be a little too paranoid.

Stupid + stupid= more stupid.

On both sides.

Yet the motorcyclist complied and was still busted.

And the Walmart manager was a dick.

One possible lesson is don't shop at Walmart. (Did they outlaw shoppers from carrying guns at Walmart?)

If you watch a more complete version, which is on YouTube, the motorcycle guy wasn’t disturbing anyone. The Walmart management guy is obviously lying. Yeah, I think it’s kinda dumb to wear your helmet in a store. I have carried my Helmet in a store many times. Maybe the guy didn’t feel safe leaving his helmet on the bike. He said he couldn’t find a basket.
Th biggest problem I see is the officer and his attitude. He escalated a non issue, wasn’t professional in any way. The other officers do nothing to diffuse the asshole cop. That’s the problem and the public is tired of cops with this attitude.
People can be dumb sometimes, we all do dumb things sometimes. How would you feel if your doctor told you to “pull your head out of your ass” ? We need to get rid of police who act like that.

Which is why when I saw this thread, I looked to see who posted it. I really expected this to be something you did, and were warning us not to do it. :D
I'm a silly goose but not much because its waste of time to do something like that. It's still a great example of stupidity and what to do and say when dealing with LE and store employees no matter the scenario.
