There are hundreds even thousands of videos on line of people breaking all kinds of laws. Do you all think its ok for law enforcement to go after somebody in a situation like this. They did not catch him in the act. That could be anybody on any motorcycle and really could have been uploaded by anybody. In america the lawyers would have to prove all this in court. Almost seems like a waste of time and money, although I do not condone his riding at all. It gives us all a bad name and he could have killed somebody. I think if he was caught on the road at the time, he should go straight to jail.

Not sure on the legal/ethical question, but did anyone else notice that it took a BLUE Yamaha to go that fast? Just asking.

Seems fairly open and shut - evidence of a crime. If the video is indeed authentic. Shouldn't be too hard to prove with big brother tracking all our transactions online.

Looks like dozens of other Ghost Rider videos you can find on YouTube. If they can prove who did it that person should be punished.

Anybody got a positive ID on WHO the rider was?
Not the hear-say the officer mentioned.
Not the owner.
Not the person posting, even if it was the same.

I see nothing SO FAR to connect one human being to the illegal acts caught on camera.

Hopefully the rider will get convicted on his own tongue.

I took the link from VFRD and in the discussion there, somebody brought up that the guy posted it on the motorcycle forum he was on and they all turned him in. Not sure if its true or not.

I guess if he was on a track having fun then whatever, but the fact is is that rider put everyone's life at stake around him with his foolish selfishness. My sister was the unfortunate witness to a horrific crash.,with my daughters in her car, a speeding motorcyclist lost control of bike and it bounced into the rear window of an Excusion, killing an infant after driver lost control of vehicle, driver survived, rider was wedged under a car in front of him cause he was sliding about 50 mph faster than traffic was moving! Yea you can't commit crimes and put it on video, this is not big brother. But another stupid criminal that gets caught

Interesting - My use of the term Big Brother was meant to convey that very little anonymity exists online... especially when you post a video.

Sorry to hear about your daughter and your sister. Unfortunate.

Yea for sure there is no anonymity, but I am guessing the clown in the video is just plain stupid. My daughters are fine, they just happened to be too young to comprehend what happened in front of them .My sister however will never gt on two wheels again. As her hubby is a rider. It was just too much .

That was certainly an act of stupidity on the riders part.

But question? Assuming it was an R1, and the video claims 300Kph (186 MPH), is that really possible? Granted a modified bike on an open track with a long straight - probably, but on that highway, with all the weaving? Watching the video looks like traffic was moving very slowly and it seems unlikely he was weaving around that much so easily at that high of a speed, then at the end of his video he is on an open road and the speedo is reading much lower which seems wrong, like he would be faster on the more open road?

The physics of the whole run seem off to me, like it was staged or manipulated somehow? Maybe sprocket changes to get the Tach/Speedo artificially high to make it 'look' like he was riding WAY faster that he actually was?

I probably watch to many CSI/NCIS/MythBuster shows and question all these on-line videos now
