May be worth putting a 5mm or so flat bar spacer on the battery side where they bolt on at the side of the engine. I intend doing it on mine to make it easier to get to the electrics. if anyone thinks thats not a good idea im listening, but im not Frazier Crane.

That shim may mess with the center joint on those bars. I don't think the left cover will come off with the Altrider. Right cover worms out fine.

Right side comes off pretty easy, left side takes some finagling. When I needed to take the left side off, I loosened the bars some, although you do not need to if you are just getting to the bolt for the tank.

Hey Rob,

how do the altriders work for you? I still haven’t ordered because I’m still saving up.
Intend on buying the altriders as well. Any pics?

I stuck some black velcro (the soft side) inside my Altrider's. It keeps from scratching the cover on the bars when removing and installing it. I put some on my shift lever too. It'll keep the black off my left shoe.

Thanks for the headsup, but I am going for the altriders as well. You’ll find a buyer very soon for the SW’s. Curious how the result is on your bike with the new set mounted. It’ll look way different I’m sure.

yer the altrider are good, love the look of the lowers and uppers together, the uppers are being powder coated now so hopefully have them all on in about 2 weeks
