Ordered a Gel Pad kit off ebay, read the instructions and watched a good youtube video. Appears pretty easy. Looked the ST10 seat and simple staples. That said, has anyone removed their seat cover? Wondering if also glued down or just the staples holding it? (Or any other useful hints). Thanks.

Haven't done this one but have done many others and the staples are all there will be.
You may also consider comfort foam.

I removed my cover and replaced a section of the seat with some back armor from an old jacket - just needed something firmer.

Just staples.

I too have a gel pad on order from JC Whitney. Thinking about redoing the seat. It will involve removing the cover and shaving down the foam to make room for the gel, then re-stapling the cover with the gel pad in place. The question is can I do a good job?????
