Re: H Bar Size?

they are 1 1/8" in the center clamp and 7/8" on the ends!!! I have not received any info as the the rise or pullback, as I want to compare these to a black set of Pro Taper Contour bars.

Jeff.
I have my standard bars in the shed.
I think I may have misunderstood your p.m and will go and measure them now if you like...?

Greg, That would be great if you could go and measure the original bars you have in the shed. It would help me alot to determine the correct Pro Taper bar to choose!!!

Done...

Notice how these OEM bars rake back so dramatically.. They felt to me like Harley bars - Very wide and hands not flat enough across the bars.
Pay close attention to the flat length available for controls, switch blocks, and grips to fit before interfering with the top bend.
I could not find a set of ProTapers that would house all the gear on the flat sections (area approx 247mm long).

Greg.

SWMotech non shock endurance bars + 30mm risers.
Considerably more open/flatter bend than the OEM but adjustable in angle and shock resistance. O0

Greg

Edit: NOTE - These bars will not fit off the shelf and require modification to do so.
WaspWorks do not endorse modifying this product.

Can someone please confirm the bar end diameter info above? I'm ordering heated grips and don't know whether to buy the 7/8" or 1". I searched and this was only reference I could find, don't want to remove Barkbusters to check.

Want to install 14+ bars on my 12.... Can I ?

Hey guys,

I vaguely remembering a post where someone wanted to install the new aluminum bars on there 12/13 and there might have been an issue. I have my 12 and after four plus years of beating I'm throwing on a new set... Can I install the new Aluminum one, or do I need to go back to the steel for some reason....

Thanks

Don't want to go with one of the ProTaper models?

naaaaa, not really... I've always liked the bend and ride of the stockers.... I think my stock bars now are slightly bent and drives me bonkers.

Kinda like the seat, I ride 14+ hours on the Ol' Stocker.... The bars and seat are stock, unlike the rest of the highly modified bike.. LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Bars are interchangeable; it's the risers that are not.

I don't think the bend is identical.

2014+ bars are a little flatter and nicely so. Maybe a little thicker.

There was a thread here about it, but my recollection is that you need to change everything from the top triple tree up.

go with FJ09 bars..
best OEM bars IMO, and are threaded to fit bar end connectors..

I am getting ready to replace my bent OEM bars. This would eliminate having to drill and tap Pro Tapers.

Whats the difference? Wider? Higher? Sweep?
