So when i get to DIAG 62, i get a reading of 2. Two fault codes stored in memory (Right?). Now when i look to DIAG 61, im seeing the 2 codes that have been recorded (right??)... Can someone with a 2014 manual look up and tell me what 89 and 93 mean. Thanks for taking the time....

Signals cannot be transmitted between the SCU [Suspension Control Unit] and the ECU and between the SCU and meter assembly.

97
Defective SCU relay.

I dont own the actual manual. I keep blowing my $$ on gas! online i found what the diagnostic numbers represent, but that info stops in the mid 60"s... Do you have the manual? Or are you just busting my balls??
No, that's not what I meant...
I mean, I have the manual that comes with the S10 from factory. And in this manual the codes are not present.
So, not available to ordinary people.

I see... My online searches and fine people like eemsrino from this site have been my sources for S10 info so far. Knowledge is power people!
Now, to find that SCU relay...... Cheers man. (Proud to not be one of the ordinary people)

Hi there folks. I've just done a fault code check in the Diagnostics menu and along with codes 14 and 30 which I am familiar with, it displays code 89. From eemsreno's previous post, he describes it as "Signals cannot be transmitted between the Suspension Control Unit and the ECU and between the SCU and meter assembly. Now my bike is not an ES model, so should this be coming up or could it be something else?

Just came across this and although it is an old post, no one replied to him and being the owner of a non-ES model, I wondered what could have caused this.

Yes, but the poster that I quoted doesn’t or didn’t have an ES model so as the SCU controls the electronic suspension, why does a non-ES bike have that fault code?

I have had the CC issue on my 2014 non ES show up recently. Tried cleaning the front brake switch and didn’t work on my ride yesterday. On the way home after it had sat for several hours, cruise is functional. Since going through a set of rear pads I have changed my braking style in this bike to account for the linked braking, using just the front lever. I experimented on the ride back with different ways to deactivate cruise. Rear brake=works and can still use CC. Clutch lever=works. Roll throttle forward=works. Press CC button=works. I also checked to make sure my brake light isn’t staying stuck on. Light goes out fine whenever I release either lever or pedal. I think I had narrowed it down to front brake switch. A little while later, risk it again just before reaching the barn, and flashing yellow dash light again.
Today I checked to see any stored codes. I have the 90 code and a 14. Based on what I’ve read so far, 90 appears to call for the front brake switch to be replaced, but what is the 14? I don’t have a repair manual and I haven’t found it by searching here or ADV.

Code 14 relates to the intake air pressure sensor. Probably just a random error. I would clear it and see if it comes back.

I wonder if that's about the MAP sensor down on the left side. Seems to be what they're describing.
