When I put this story up I did not do justice to the South Canol or the Groundhog Creek roads. I want to show you some more pictures of that area because it was premium riding.

No matter how much I tried to convince Troll to trade me bikes he wouldn't fall for it. I told him I would return his in good condition in 2 weeks on the way back through Whitehorse. [Just kidding]

The South Canol should not be missed. It is a very scenic road.

Groundhog creek was our favorite off road riding trail.
Here are some I missed when showing that road.

And how could I have missed this one of the Arctic Ocean

And this one of the sun rise.

I can't believe how much you packed into this trip. Fantastic pic's and it just confirms why I live up here and why I bought my Tenere.
Great meeting you, ride safe ::021::

Troy finally got his camera back and I have a copy of his pictures, So I will put up some of them here.

This is Scott's helmet after the crash.

Scott at one of the airports.

Still a lot of snow from up on top.

Our first night camp at Yellow Grass.

One of our only group pictures.

On the Alaskan Highway.

Eric changing his tire at Smith River Falls.

Watson Lake

Our camp at the end of Groundhog creek road.

Grounhog creek road.

This is the big Grizzly just past the Arctic circle on the Dempster.

The Richardson Mountains in the NWT.

And the last one, Scott took one of me working on the Wee at Eagle Plains.

Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Eric has talked about trying to go as far as we can on the North Canol, sounds good to me, would need about 5 exta gallons of fuel.

Yes, you would ... and I'd need about 20 less years. Apparently (so I've been told) there is/was a lot of traffic on it this past summer. Mining exploration has gone bonkers up here. Hopefully it will settle down before much longer. R

Really good RR. I usually get tired of reading a ride report to Alaska, but you kept my attention the whole way. Love the camping part, but you left out all the showers you took.

Watch the "Gold Rush" show every friday, I'm sure if they ever hit gold, there will be noobs all over the place up there looking for their fortune. Honey, can we sell the house and go give it a try!!!

I have made about 25 picture movie dvd's that are 36 min. of the best pictures of this trip and if anyone would like a copy you can just PM me with your mailing address and I would be glad to send you one. I sent one to RCDinMN , he claims it's real good but maybe he is just being nice. Anyone wanting to see what it's like to ride up to Whitehorse might like to watch it. Steve

If you enjoyed this R.R. you might want to check out my other rides.

Heres a link to my pictures from 2004. I went up to Prudhoe Bay to perform IBA witness duties for the MTF. They were doing their record setting Ultimate Coast to Coast ride from Key West to Prudhoe Bay. 13 guys started, 11 finished, the 2 that didnt finish crashed on the Haul Rd.
Theres a lot of pictures here ,some of them are even pretty good.

Eemsreno, excellent pics. Did the Dempster with two others in 2010. A very challenging ride that requires a lot of focus and concentration to stay upright. Especially when the weather takes a change for the worst.
You're aware the youngest member of your group will be back there one day. ::008::
Oh and the Vee is liquid cooled so throwing it in a creek isn't necessary. ::013::
